Comfortable home. Clean. Nice property outdoors.

Kitchen could use newer pots and pans. Fry pans unusable, very scratched and dirty. Close to main road. Road noise was loud.

Enough room for all of us, and location was great.

Home was dirty. Floors were filthy. Bathroom floor tiles had black dirt caked in tile crevices. Floors were so dirty that the white bathroom rugs ended up being black by the time we left, just from our feet touching the tile then touching the rugs. Bathtub and shower had mold. Bath towels left for guests were tired and crunchy, made us wonder if they were clean. Not really a complaint, because it worked for us, but may not for someone else - it should be made known that the room with two twin beds is in the attic. It was warm and stuffy up there.

The house is nice.

When you read the rules of your stay at the house it’s a little intimidating to feel comfortable even being there. So when we arrived and found somebody else’s leftover food in our refrigerator and freezer and drips and spills places that obviously hadn’t been cleaned I was very surprised! Also a broken glass vase on the outside walkway. Then we picked up a cushion on one of the couches to see if it was a pull out bed and there was food and crumbs and used toothpicks under the cushions, once again obviously not cleaned in quite a while. I contacted the host immediately to let them know about these issues and showed him pictures. We went on with our day and we were settling in for the night in our pajamas watching a movie, when there was a very unexpected knock on the door at 9 o’clock at night. It was a housekeeper. To be interrupted on our first night at 9 o’clock at night made us very mad. We only had two nights. She was very nice, but was there to clean the house. What! A little late and very interruptive!

It was a bright, cheerful open house that was beautifully decorated and comfortable. We enjoyed walking in the gardens and around the neighborhood.

Comfy beds, lots of light in all rooms and, fun/funky garden yard.

No dishwasher, not a big deal but not stated anywhere. Also wasn’t aware you can’t use the fire pit in the summer so Cal fire inspector visited for our s’mores “event,” would have been nice to have a sign or warning not to use.
