Mercure Ambassador Seoul Hongdae

Die Lage des Hotels war einfach nur perfekt! Man ist direkt im Hongdae Viertel. Viele Geschäfte und Restaurants direkt fußläufig erreichbar.

Dadurch, dass man direkt in der Stadt ist, hört man abends und früh morgens direkt die Musik von der Straße. Und das Zimmer könnte etwas größer sein.

The location is everything and it was perfect. The room is good but it would have been nice if it was a bit more spacious. The breakfast was not good- not worth the money. Staff were super nice.

The balcony is not really a balcony, you barely can stand on it. The room was a bit small and there wasn't really enough space to put the suitcase.

Very clean, good location, nice staff

1. Excellent location in the area of Hongdae - just 3 min walk to reach exit 9 of Hongik univ. station (Line 2 subway). Those who can't take the long stairs down to the station, there is a lift in exit 8. We joined the DMZ tour which departed at exit 3 of Hongik univ. station. It took about 8 min to walk to the meeting point of the tour. 2. Tourist information centre is just at next block within 3 min walk. 3. Staff are very friendly, helpful and most of them can speak fluent English.

1. Soon we checked into room 907, we found there were lots of black spots after we boiled water from the kettle. We let cold water tap run for a few minutes before we boil the water again. After at least 4 attempts, there were still lots of black spots. The kettle was clean and we were not sure if the black spots are associated with limescale, oxidized metal or rust in water pipes. No matter what they were, the hot water was not drinkable. We also killed a tiny flying insect in the room. After we showed the reception staff the problem of the black spots in the cup, and the picture of the insect we killed, he helped us move to 17/F. We did not expect to come across all these hassles in that pricey room on 9/F. Hope the hotel will fix the water problem ASAP. 2. There were also tiny insects keep flying in the lobby lift.
