We had an intruder the 1st night. Someone came in by one of the outside doors that were previously locked and attempted to enter the master bedroom. My wife was alone on her computer at about 12:00 a.m. in the master bedroom. I heard her scream my name, and I came running. Whoever was at the bedroom door had left. Upon inspection, a door that was previously locked was open. The bedrooms (5) curiously, had no way to lock them. We spent that night and the next, with 2 small children, and my wife, "spooked" from the events of the night before. We were led to believe there would be a working fireplace, and a firepit. The fireplace had a notice on it to not use it because it was not up to code. The firepit amounted to a hole in the ground. Rain poured outside so those two things would have been nice, since outdoor activities were limited. The facility, reeked of dust, so much so that my wife had 3 asthma attacks, over the 2 days we were there. It had been somewhat dusted but, needed a deep dusting, and the carpets needed cleaning. It was a beautiful facility that could have been a great place for a get-a-way. We were led to believe it was "close to the water". It is a healthy walk but not appropriate for a boat. The docks are few and the facility near the docks ( a restaurant ect) were exceptionally busy, all weekend. The last promise of any fun, the "game room", was small and dingy. So small, that you could not play pool, even if the pool table was not worn out. All but one of the video games required money. The toys were old and some broken. Again , I have to commend the beauty of the building. The kitchen facilities were very good and clean. This setup is more appropriate for lots more people, than a family of 5.

The price for the facility was priced for waterfront property, which it is not. The money was a stretch for us in the 1st place especially for what we didn't get and what happened. A really deep cleaning every 3 mo. would definately help. The barbecue area on the upper deck was slopped with gobs of grease and the large windows facing east, looked like someone had shot slime on them. Then on Sunday we had to be out by 11 am, but before we did, we were expected to strip the beds and do some laundry. Somewhere in there we were suppose to load up and get out.
