What I loved: Cutely decorated, view of the beach, relaxing place with a great backyard
What I didn't: Bathtub and toilet in guesthouse were not clean (cleaners left after we got there, - right after 4 pm, they had taken the front parking spot), I couldn't figure out how to lock the house.

We loved the layout and the capacity of this home. View of the ocean was nice. Heat sources were not functional for two rooms downstairs, but the rooms didn't get too cold. Would definitely stay there again.

This was our family’s 3rd visit to Watavue. The homes are well stocked and furnished. Big fenced yard is fabulous for our large family. Beautiful location.

We were thrilled with the housing/bedrooms/baths, etc. and the short walk to the beach was awesome! The backyard was a wonderful place for kids of all ages. The hot tub actually worked, as did the BBQ! The housing was clean and comfortable with amenities that worked/met our needs. Would definitely stay here again!

This 1923 cottage has still retained its original footprint while experiencing many additions, conversions and upgrades, has not become a McMansion. The whimsical sculptures in all of the rooms and the yard set the right tone for a playful time a the beach.

Alot of space. Great location. Pro tip trash bins are in the back.

I booked this property for my family reunion. We could not have imagined, what we would show up to. A beautiful home, completely filled with not only the amenities to create an amazing dinner for 10+ people, but games, comfortable and beautiful rooms, each with a view, and then to wake up, and find rain boots and rain gear of all sizes, we all got dressed and walked to the ocean which took us a total of 2 minutes to arrive to. We could not have dreamt of more. We loved it so much, we returned in summer and did not need the gear they so graciously provided, but spent every night laughing and happy and chatting in the hot tub, walked on the beach every morning, and cooked amazing dinners together as a family that we were able to enjoy at the huge table seating of 14. We could not have created these memories without this particular home that felt personally designed with love to provide us with all the room, amenities, and extras to turn our weekend into the most amazing heartfelt experience any of us has ever had. We sang karaoke, we shared a beautiful dinner, we walked the beach, we visited the city, we relaxed in the hot tub, we paused for a moment, in our busy lives, and we focused on the people we love, and for that, we are most grateful. We heard from friends how great the place is, however when we arrived it exceeded our expectations. A lot of love was put to create such a cozy place. Each bedroom has its own theme! We loved the breathtaking view of the ocean from almost every window!! Also, the kitchen is totally impressive with a convenience of very nice appliances and BIG dining table. And of course, a fire pit and hot tub sealed the deal!!We spent unforgettable time there !

What a great find! The house is perfect for a few but can comfortably accommodate larger groups as well. Perfectly located near downtown and just across the street from the beach. The ocean view from living room and dining room is spectacular. The bedrooms are very comfortable, great kitchen and a dining room that is truly the center of it all. The large outdoor space makes this a perfect place all year around. The large deck with hot tub is a treat!! What a unique place with tons of character! We really enjoyed the extensive library and the well-equipped kitchen. It was great to watch the waves from the living room and from the upstairs front bedroom. So much room and the bathrooms were lovely, too.

A couple of my friends and I came to spend a Friendsgiving together and the home is beautiful! The kitchen is amazing, has so many utensils. The bathrooms were nice and the towel warmers is something I’ve never had and I loved them! The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Having the beach right across the street was a big plus! Only issues we had was the fireplace didn’t work well, the jacuzzi broke down on us one night (we managed to get it on the next day) and a lot of the light switches didn’t work. These are easy fix I hope!

I have stayed at several beach houses over the years at the Oregon coast, but my time at Watavue stands above the rest. On this particular trip we were in a large group, but the spacious location was the perfect fit! The kitchen was fantastic, and the huge dining room table for group dinners was amazing. Bathrooms were incredibly cool as well, which is a major point for me. Our group had plenty of room to spread out over three days as well. I slept soundly in the comfortable bed which is another often negative point with beach rentals, but not at Watavue. There was plenty of safe parking for our group too. Great house. Loved the industrial kitchen setup, it was fantastic for cooking. And the beach access across the street was perfect.

Pricy home in good location. We rented it for a work-cation, planning to use a comfortable environment to get a lot of work done. Advertisement was for "internet", "wifi router" in the house. None of that was present. No reception, no internet. No apology yet, nor plan how to make us whole after having paid a lot of money for a very suboptimal outcome. Will have to seek legal action it seems. Sad!

This is the cutest beach house. We have been coming here for about 15 years now, and always happy with our stay. Love the red couch, the dining table is a piece of art, the ceiling, lighting, the small kitchen, the All Clad pots and pans, and the adorable lights in the kitchen. I need to mention how comfortable the beds are. Watavue is an awesome house to enjoy with a small or large group. The layout of the house provides many spaces for privacy and great places to gather and enjoy meals, singing, conversations, and more. It is a joy to cook in such a well-equipped kitchen. This house is beautiful, relaxing, and comfortable for every person. I love the unique details of each room, the library, and the window seat. The outdoor area is spacious, relaxing, and it includes a hot tub. It is so easy to enjoy the ocean from many areas of the house and if I need to work, I enjoy the room after’s with the desk and a direct view of the ocean. Being just a few steps from the beach it guarantees enjoyment of sunrises and sunsets. My time there with my friend Lisa was special. I love the dining room set up and feels formal yet informal and the kitchen is outstanding !!!!!! I truly loved every detail of the home and it’s quite unique.
