Beautiful well equipped home in perfect location to explore. Dinan port and the city both within easy walking distance. Access to cycle paths along the river nearby. Das Frühstück war nicht inbegriffen, doch das war egal, denn man wohnt ja nur wenige Meter von der Stadtmauer/ der historische Altstadt entfernt, so dass das nächste Cafe/ die nächste Boulangerie nicht weit entfernt ist. Die Ferien-Wohnung liegt im Dachgeschoss der alten Propstei. Wir konnten die Wohnung nicht von außen verschließen, aber das war egal, weil auch der Rest des Hauses, also alle Räume der gastgebenden Familie, immer und jederzeit offen standen. Wir hatten einfach das Gefühl, bei unserer Familie zu Gast zu sein. Das war sehr schön - und keine Angst: Das gesamte Haus an sich ist natürlich verschließbar. Die Gastgeber sind wahnsinnig freundlich und sprechen ausgezeichnet englisch, so dass es keinerlei Verständigungsprobleme gab. Wir waren rundherum zufrieden und sind nur sehr ungern wieder abgefahren.

In an exceptional position in Dinan, a ten minute walk into the city walls or the climb down via steps to the pretty port. Parking at the property is easy and the room we booked was very spacious. A beautiful bathroom and huge bath, lots of hot water. The photos of the room we had were accurate and Jeremy and Sophie were welcoming. Nice gardens if you wanted to sit out.

We are a couple aged seventy five and the description of the room when we booked omitted to tell us we would be in the converted loft, two floors up, a gruesome climb with heavy suitcases. The bedroom door did not have a lock and the room did not have a safe to compensate for the lack of room security. The room was very warm and no air conditioning or electric fan was provided to ensure guests comfort although a couple of windows allowed a breeze to help cool the room. A mini fridge would have been a blessing as our fresh milk and yoghurt turned sour within two days. No knives or forks were provided but you had a kettle and coffee tea and sugar. Perhaps we were expected to eat out in the local restaurants The hosts are a lovely couple but these simple additions to this room would have upgraded the score to a ten. We would not have booked if we had known about the two flights of stairs, twenty years ago it would not have bothered us. A good room sadly let down by little touches. I have no idea about the rest of the property but the top floor is lacking in basic luxuries to make the most of your stay. We did enjoy our stay but it could have felt so much better.

Amazing house. Amazing location, loved Dinan but strange set up with bad security in the house. The bedrooms really need a lock as you share with people you don’t know.

No lock on the bedroom door and sharing the house with family members we never met, but heard moving around. It was like an Airbnb set up but all very unclear. Also the shower only had a boiling temperature and there were no cups for the coffee / tea and when we asked about these two things (a few times) no one got back. We drank our coffee from the one sugar bowl in the room!
