The balcony and the location.

Staff no responsive. 1h 30 waiting for check in. Only reply by booking message. They do not answer the phone.

great location

-communication with staff was terrible (the lady onsite was nice though) -we had to buy every cleaning products (toilet paper, dish liquid, sponge, etc…) -washing machine not working -electricity was cutting, we had to change flat

Although we didn’t see any staff they were easily contactable on what’s app and replied very quickly. The location is brilliant and there was parking but you have to get there quickly as there aren’t enough spaces for everyone. We used the fridge which was good but didn’t use any other facilities there but the cooker looked very old. Self check-in was very easy.

It didn’t look like the picture especially of the kitchen. It was very old and needs upgrading. There was a strange smell through out. At night we could also smell the cigarette smell from the people staying next door which wasn’t nice when we were trying to sleep. There was no Wi-Fi. The shower was either cold or burnt you. The bed felt like sleeping on a rock. There was no air con in the bedroom, only in the living room. There were a lot of mosquitoes! This wasn’t very comfortable.

- location is good : not too far from the port and the main street - balcony with the view is nice (although there is not even one outside chair and/or table) - it was clean - the bed is quite comfortable

We were flat n*25 (the whole building seems to be rented so it might be slightly different depending on the flat you're allocated to) and paid over 120e/night for two people, staying 5 nights. Be aware that in over 5 years (and travelling quite a lot), I've never left a single negative comment on Booking. - When we arrived, we noticed that there was no washing machine (which was one of the main criteria for us choosing this place over another). We contacted the interlocutor about it, and she hid under the fact that she was only handling the booking. We therefore contacted the landlord who never replied back (like litterally, not a a single text back - although he was seeing our messages). No apologies, nothing! - upon arrival, we also noticed that the AC was not working (it was over 30°C out there). About that as well, we let the landlord know asking for a very quick solution. No reply!! 24h later we found batteries in front of the door for the A/C remote control. After inserting new batteries, the AC did finally work. We thanked the landlord, still not a single reply. - the flat is very very old: half of the stuff in the bathroom are broken or not holding, the kitchen is a shame and a high number of sockets are simply unusable. - don't expect to be able to actually cook in the kitchen : the ustensils are old and scarce limited. To be fair, we did not even try as it was discouraging from the start... We would have left if a refund would have been possible. But cancellation fees were the amount of what we paid and we could not afford the loss + paying for a new place. Palau and the surroundings are an expensive place but, in spite of it, it really did not feel good value for money.

No shampoo...

The staying was great. After booking the apartment - the administrator Camilla was always in touch, quickly replied on all questions, gave advices and created a feeling that we are being waited. The personnel of the apartment is very sweet and friendly. Location is fantastic, room with a beautiful sea view. Sandy beach is in 2 minutes walking. Great spot to start your island exploring. Someone complained about WiFi - it worked fine with us. Recommended!
