this is a beautiful property steeped in history loving converted by hosts Nicholas and Lawrence into a very comfortable, clean and well managed Bed and Breakfast. Nicholas was incredibly knowledgeable only about the property but also the local area and helped us book a lovely restaurant for the night of our stay and also allowed us to have an early breakfast/coffee due to our early departure. Highly recommend if you are coming to the area to go, and the Peacocks are an added delight roaming in the garden!!

A wonderful place with great hosts who lovingly care for the historic house and the magnificent garden, and who are excellent company to talk to.
Everything is very well thought out and generous — spacious rooms and bathrooms, a wonderful breakfast with regional specialties, a beautiful garden with fruit trees, and of course the 4 peacocks with their babies.
We had a very relaxing time here and thoroughly enjoyed the place and its garden.
The hosts’ warm and easygoing nature made us feel very comfortable and welcome.
