We love staying at this property! We came in 2020 for our honeymoon and went back this year with our 1 year old. The view is breathtaking and it’s so close to lots of activities! The hosts are always more than accommodating- they make us feel like family! We will continue to come back

We had a great time even though the weather didn't cooperate entirely:) The house was extremely clean and very comfortable. The views from the back deck are spectacular. We will most certainly rent this place again if we take another trip up to Bar Harbor. Sharon and Carol were amazing hosts, I can't say enough about their hospitality and attention to detail. You will not be disappointed in the private rental getaway!

We stayed at this property from August 20-27, 2023, and found everything to be perfect. Sharon and Carol are premier hosts and go out of their way to welcome you - fresh flowers on the kitchen table and a loaf of wild Maine blueberry coffee cake. The house is well appointed and the decor is perfect for the surroundings. Above all, the view is spectacular!

Sea Spray was an excellent place to stay. The hosts were absolutely perfect and provided everything you needed. But, if any need arises, all you have to do is contact them and they are quick to respond. The home was very clean and well furnished. The views are spectacular. My wife and I recommend this home to all that want a great place to relax and enjoy the surrounding area.

My husband and I were able to spend three glorious weeks at Sea Spray. We spent hours gazing at Frenchman Bay - watching the tide come and go. There were PODS of dolphin swimming, there were seals circling fish and jumping out of the water! We watched two families of osprey fledging their young and had Eagles visiting on the trees on either side of the property... cormorants, loons, terns, gulls, herons, eiders and more. So very peaceful with wonder all about. We left refreshed and look forward to returning next year. Oh, the house was absolutely awesome and comfortable, Sharon and Carol beyond accommodating... and the location is Flawless- between the Schoodic peninsula and Acadia. Perfect for all hiking and biking. Book it Danno!

Everything about the house was new, tasteful and of first-class quality, like it had been decorated just for us. The furniture was comfortable as was the bed. All details were attended to and anything we forgot was already there. Plenty of dishes, glasses and towels including beach towels. Great outdoor furniture both on the porch and next to the fire pit. Down East is a special place and Sea Spray is a special house.

This cottage is everything and then some! If you are looking for serenity and tranquility… look no further. Sea Spray has it all! Beautifully appointed with an an amazingly well equipped, superb kitchen, stunning home decor, and views that can’t be beat! From the seals playing, the eagles hunting, and the fog rolling in and out, we were simply mesmerized by the beauty of it all! Everything about Sea Spray was perfect! Wonderful hosts who welcomed you into their cottage with all the touches of home. The homemade blueberry lemon coffee cake was absolutely delicious! The cottage itself was immaculate and well-appointed. We had everything we needed. Very comfortable, accessible home with good lighting inside and outside. The cottage is in a very quiet, peaceful neighborhood. We spent most of our days hiking in Acadia NP (about 30-40 min drive) and spent our evenings relaxing in the cottage or by the bay. Plenty of good restaurants nearby also! We fell in love with Maine and Sea Spray. Many thanks to our hosts!

If you’re thinking about booking this amazing home, don’t think twice, book it! As soon as we pulled in we felt the magic of Sea Spray. When we entered the home we had a hand written note from Sharon and Carol and a homemade blueberry/lemon cake which was amazing!! There was also a basket with the makings for s’mores. The home was very clean, the beds are super comfy, the kitchen is very well equipped, and the guide book was very detailed and gave some great recommendations for restaurants and things to do and see in the area. The location on the bay was amazing - we sat on the deck having coffee, watching the seals, loons and seagulls, and just enjoying the peace and our family time. Sharon and Carol really gave this home a personal feel - it was refreshing and inspiring to see how they support the local vendors and artists in the area. We recognized so many pieces in the home after a day in Bar Harbor and we actually visited Gull Rock Pottery and purchased a few items, which is just down the road from Sea Spray. No matter what you’re in the area for - do not hesitate to book Sea Spray. Our family enjoyed every aspect of this home and to Sharon and Carol THANK YOU for allowing us to experience the magic and for your superior hospitality!

Our stay at Sea Spray was wonderful! It truly is one of the top VRBO rentals we have stayed in! :) The quality of the furnishings, attention to detail and how clean the home was exceeded our expectations! The mattresses were top quality and provided a wonderful night's sleep! The kitchen was well stocked with high quality items which was very much appreciated! The instruction booklet provided by the hosts was clear and concise and made for a pleasant stay without frustration in figuring out the TV, how to work the appliances, trash removal etc. They also had great suggestions for restaurants etc. The view was wonderful and the porch seating was new and clean. The communication with the owners was top notch from booking to after checking out. They are very professional, courteous and willing to go above and beyond what is needed or expected to make sure their guests are well taken care of. Ellsworth was a town not far from the home where we went to Walmart to purchase a few food items. We also enjoyed Pat's Pizza and Helen's Restaurant while in the area. Despite a couple of days of rain we made the most of our time and hiked, visited Bar Harbor and had the best ice cream at Jordan Pond Ice Cream and Fudge Shop! We also did a 2.5 hour kayak trip from Bar Harbor and took a day trip to Portland to see a Sea Dogs baseball game and visit the Portland Lighthouse as well as LL Bean in Freeport, Maine. Don't hesitate to book your stay at Sea Spray! You will not be disappointed!

We had a great stay at this house. The house was amazing with great views of the bay. The hosts provided a very easy checking / check out process and welcomed us with fresh flowers and a delicious Blueberry Lemon Pound Cake. It rained the entire time of our stay in early June, but it was a great deck to watch the rain on the bay. Would highly recommend.

From the moment we walked through the door we were amazed at how thoughtful and caring our host was we have never felt as cared for by people we've never even met. Sea Spray is so warm and inviting it was exactly as the pictures look. Everything was perfect. The guide book is full of great local information and recommendations. We are already trying to plan another visit to the area and are hoping that another stay at Sea Spray is in our future. We can't recommend this house or host enough, they are both amazing!

Truly one of the best VRBO vacation homes we've stayed in. Very comfortable and homey. Every detail from the decorations of the home to the quality of the furnishings was perfect. The best part was the location and the view. Sitting on the deck or by the fire relaxing, reading or staring at the night sky filled with stars made for a perfect vacation. The owners were very responsive and prompt with inquiries.

Sharon and Carol provided an unparalleled and absolutely magical stay in the Acadia region. The house is gorgeous and its location is so beautiful we were stunned on arrival because it felt like a dream. We woke up everyday with what seems to be the very best possible view of Cadillac mountain from both the living room and bedroom. We adored seeing harbor seals in the water right in front of the house, and of course, because Sharon and Carol have thought of every possible detail, we were to able to use the binoculars provided at the home to get an even closer look at these cute little creatures, along with others, including loons. The location is ideal. We visited Acadia everyday for hiking then returned to the house to relax on the beautiful porch, cook meals in the well equipped kitchen (lobster twice!), make a fire in the fire pit near the waters edge, and also grill. I was so impressed by all the little details they provided- it made the stay that much more comfortable and smooth. Everything is clean and spotless. The towels, sheets etc were high quality. Sharon and Carol were available promptly for our questions - where to hike, where to get live lobster. The art throughout the house is beautiful and Maine-themed, and is a wonderful touch to an already amazing home. I could go on and on about how much we loved this place. Simply put, there is a reason there is an unending supply of 5 star reviews. This place is really special. Would give it 10 stars if we could.

I can literally write a book. There are just no words to fully describe how beautiful and comfortable this home is. It is truly a home away from home - beyond spotless and accommodating with spectacular views. Our hosts, Sharon and Carol, have anticipated and thought of everything a guest might need. The special touches they provide are not to be described. Their warmth and hospitality leave a lasting impression. There is no other place I will stay when visiting the Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park area.

Had the loveliest time at this beautiful and cozy cottage sitting right at the edge of Frenchman Bay. Super clean and comfortable, with everything one could ever need. Thoughtful touches throughout and very tastefully decorated. The most comfortable beds and the softest sheets. Really enjoyed the stone patio area and firepit with stunning views of the water and Cadillac mountain. All you need for the firepit (high quality wood + kindling and starters) is provided. The hosts were so gracious and welcoming. Was greeted with a lovely handwritten card and fresh baked loaf of blueberry lemon cake. Would definitely book here again if in the area. Five stars is not enough!

Everything everyone says in all the reviews is true. This is a beautiful, perfect vacation spot. The views are magical. The cleanliness, and many extra touches like homemade dessert, coffee, supplies, etc. were much appreciated. Sharon and Carol went out of their way to help us have a wonderful stay, and we would love to return in the future!

Maine’s state slogan is “Vacationland” and there is no better place to experience what Maine vacations have to offer than staying at Sea Spray. The house is so charming, clean, and cozy. The property is well kept up with so many spots to sit and enjoy the view. And the view! Truly stunning. Whether you’re waking up and looking out the window, standing on the porch, or lounging by the fire pit, your eyes are constantly drawn to the view of the water. It’s breathtaking every time. The house is within a 20 minute drive to a small—perfect for groceries or other needs—and a scenic 40 minute drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. It’s quite without being far removed. The property owners were easily reachable for questions and responded promptly. They went above and beyond in making sure we had everything we needed—even clearing the driveway and walkways after snowfall. They made our winter getaway effortless and enjoyable. Staying at this property was perfect in every way and I cannot recommend it enough!

Wow!!!! This waterfront home is absolutely, incredibly beautiful! The views from the front porch and living area are unbelievable. We have stayed in many guest homes around the world and this home is definitely exceptional. The nautical taste in decor is impeccible, cozy and we felt at home immediately. The attention to detail is award winning. We were grateful to enjoy this lovely place for 5 days. The hosts are gracious and available to ensure you have the time of your life. This is an excellent, clean, and well maintained property with an AMAZING view and hosts! Fells like home and we didn’t want to leave! Sharon was quick to answer any questions we had. The cottage has everything you need, Sharon and Carol thought of everything! We have stayed at several vacation rentals and Sea Spray is the BEST by far! We appreciated all the small details from the cute decor to the different teas, creamers, honey/sweeteners, kitchen supplies etc. The area was nice and close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Several dinning options were still available during off season. We loved Ruth and Wimpy’s, Sylvia’s, Galyn’s, and Charlottes legendary lobster pound (recommended by our hosts). We loved that it was peaceful and quiet. Waking up to the views of Frenchman’s Bay, Cadillac Mtn, Bar Harbor, and wild life was absolutely beautiful. We would absolutely love to comeback and stay again! This was such a stress free, no worries about not having things you need at the cottage vacation!! Thank you Sharon and Carol again for the fabulous homemade blueberry pie and cranberry wine and the absolutely perfect week stay! I’m still dreaming about the pie!! (Do you ship? Lol)

Sharon and Carol's place right on Frenchman's Bay is an absolute dream! My partner and I stayed here for a few nights in late October and enjoyed every bit of it: a view of Cadillac Mountain, wildlife, a seaside fire pit, a grill, and excellent furnishings. It is clear to see that Sharon and Carol have put so much thoughtfulness, care, and attention to detail into Sea Spray and do a wonderful job of curating a welcoming and comfortable stay, including a homemade blueberry pie welcome gift! The property was quiet and extremely peaceful, making for a relaxing and restful vacation. Thank you, Sharon and Carol!

From the start we walked into a perfectly spotless house, with furnishings and decor that you would picture when thinking of being in Maine, without being cheezy and over done. House has neighbors on both sides at a short distance but with ample tree between them we felt we were off by ourselves. Host were readily available if anything went wrong, nothing did. Drive to Arcadia was smooth and quick. The park is just awesome! Lastly the view from the house I knew would be good but still it surpassed all expectations! Weather was great while we were there but those glass doors over looking the view made mornings to chilly to go out perfect for my morning coffee! This place really is just wonderful! Thank You Sharon and Carol, you truly have the perfect property!

Wow, just wow! This rental is situated perfectly! It has an amazing view, and in a very quiet neighborhood. The owners were so nice and responded to questions so quickly. They take great pride in the house, it was immaculate. I didn’t want to leave. Definitely recommend this unit.
