Staff, ambience, location, rooms decor, and the good was gorgeous food was high quality innovative … the bed linen mattress and pillows top quality .. very comfortable and discerning
Being picky .. easy chairs in Rooms would help with comfort .. plenty of room for them and bigger bedside tables as barely room for water and phone on the tiny ones they have!

After only one day at the Lime Tree Inn we ran out……
To be more specific, we ran out…..of superlatives!
An exceptional welcome, spotless maintenance, warm atmosphere….need we say more?
Yes, we do: my husband, an ex hotel and restaurant inspector for a well known guidebook found his old professional skills naturally returning as he enjoyed what he deemed the best dinners in many months….He became particularly enamoured by the fish pie, which he felt should be entered into a culinary competition.

Had a bit of a mixed experience. The room itself was nice. The chef clearly knows what they’re doing as well, as the food was a highlight of the stay.
Unfortunately, the experience was let down by some issues with organisation and guest management. At check-in, we were told that a previous guest had accidentally taken our room key home and would be posting it back, which didn’t exactly inspire confidence. More concerningly, we were woken at around 4am by someone trying to get into our room, which was quite unsettling.
