We loved our trip to Alberta visiting family and by far loved our short stay at Chris's cabin. Hospitality was awesome and even though we didnt stay long, we fell in love with the peaceful surroundings. Japanese hot tub and the rustic tub was perfect. As we await our ferry trip back to the Island, I've already booked for next month.

My husband and I stayed here over the long weekend and we had such a good time! A perfect little retreat to escape the business of the city. Our dog really enjoyed it too! So much space for him to roam around off leash. We will definitely be back! Highlights were the wood fired hot tub, late night fires under the stars and the walking trails!

Excellent time with my partner and bestie. Rug was the most welcome surprise! The hot tub was great and the property was wonderful. Will be booking again.

A charming place that offers time to just relax, stargaze and loose track of time. Our dog absolutely loved the freedom to roam around nature which made us very happy. A must is to enjoy a cup of coffee on the deck swing while watching the fish jump. Beautiful location, relaxing hot tub, more then enough wood and overall a peaceful escape. The only thing for us was we would appreciate a little more privacy as far as there are no curtains/blinds on any of the windows, especially the bathroom lol. I know we are in the middle of the forest, but still, imagination can run wild with what may be lurking in the bush, especially at night lol. Overall a great place to really unwind and disconnect. Thank you for having us!

we loved our time staying here and Chris was a very considerate and kind host. our dog loved swimming in the pond and all of the open area to run around off leash! we will certainly be returning as soon as we can!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful, beautiful private place with lots of wildlife , morning coffee in the hot tub, was my favourite ! Really enjoyed our stay, our trip got cut short and had to leave early , but we will definitely be back !!! Really really beautiful property! Well worth it .

Such a beautiful spot! It was so peaceful and really made you feel connected with nature. The pond was great for the kids to swim and play in. We went on a nature walk, roasted marshmallows with the kids, relaxed in the hot tub, watched the northern lights around the fire pit. We would love to return in the winter to enjoy everything the property has to offer at that time of year as well! Chris was a great host and made sure everything was great for our stay.

Chris was a great host. You can tell he has a lot of pride for this picturesque and peaceful place. We loved swimming and canoeing on the water and of course the hot tub! There’s lots of games and a little swing set for little kids. Kitchen is well stocked too. A very easy and relaxing getaway!!

Wow, what an amazing place. So relaxing and you can spend the whole day swimming and soaking in the hot tub. Chris is very accommodating and communication with him is excellent. The property has so many activities -lawn games, hot tub, swimming, canoe, walking trails. I highly recommend! see you next year!

Beautiful spot, friendly host!

We had a marvelous time. The water was excellent, the fire pit inviting, the walking trails were great. We even saw a dear. It is a faulous setting. It was a package deal... A log home, water, forest, green grass and a great host. We will be back.

Chris was so helpful and hospitable! The property was everything I had been hoping for—a quiet escape where we could just rest and refresh in nature. The Japanese wood-fired hot tub was such a nostalgic and fun experience, and the water was beautifully clear and fresh. Chris had it all fired up and hot when we arrived so we could take a dip that afternoon. My boyfriend doesn’t do hot tubs normally so I figured I’d be enjoying it alone before bed, but we soaked in the hot tub several times each day…and even talked about how fun it would be to build one for ourselves. If you come in the summer don’t miss out on swimming in the pond! It’s cold enough when you first get in to remind you of being at the ocean haha but once you’re in it’s so refreshing! I woke up in the morning looking forward to going for a swim! There’s also bocce ball, ladder toss, walking paths, and lots of room to explore around the property. With a full-sized fridge, a four burner stovetop, pots and pans etc, and a microwave with an overhead element in it, you can save money on food by cooking homemade meals. We even managed to make a delicious lasagna from scratch in the grill-microwave. We will definitely be back to explore all the things we ran out of time for…and do some more swimming and hot tubbing. :) I Highly recommend staying at the Burch Forest Cabin!

Nice getaway out of the city! Really enjoyed the nature, fireplace, Hot tub, and playing board games. Host was excellent; very friendly and welcoming! Would recommend to others.

Chris was the absolute best, had a great time. he was extremely accommodating, had everything we expected. The weather was great too. would definitely book again!

My wife and I stayed here at the start of June and it was phenomenal. Chris was an amazing host who has many stories about his life on the property and made sure you were well taken care of while staying there. It got down to +1 the one night and Chris made sure to check in with us and come show us how to properly work the fireplace. We can not recommend this enough and will most definitely be returning!

Loved our stay here! The kids enjoyed swimming and kayaking and were hardly ever out of the water. Everything from the wood fired hot tub, having coffee on the deck and watching the fish in the morning to everything provided at the cabin was great. Chris made sure we had everything we needed each morning. Would highly recommend this little gem to families or even as couples getaway. Thanks again

We stayed at this charming log cabin for May Long Weekend and had a great time. The cabin is well appointed and has nice features such as the black claw foot tub and the beautiful diamond willow railings. Our favourite feature was the wood burning hot tub, where we enjoyed our complimentary bottle of wine! Chris has it well stocked with games for inside and out. We were happy we could bring our dog with us and he had the best weekend of his life - running into the pond and tromping around with every stick he could find. The bird viewing was spectacular and we hope to come back and explore the trail with our Cross Country skis.

We can’t say enough good things about our weekend getaway, and that’s exactly what it felt like. From our amazing host Chris, the outdoor wood burning hot tub. Listening to the birds and nature while enjoying your morning coffee, the care and love has been put into this property and all of its beauty of the land. Trails to take the dogs hiking on, a big swimming hole for all to enjoy. We definitely will be back and can’t wait till our next visit. Madison&Taylor
