Payment. We booked payment upon arrival but we were pushed to pay before. We got an email saying we have to pay upfront. As we did not react to this email we were told that the booking will be cancelled if we do not pay at the same day.

The location was fantastic, easy walking distance to all the amenities. The view from the property was spectacular, we loved waking up to it every morning. The property had everything we needed for our stay.

Lovely location right on the water at Thurso. The range of facilities like stove, oven, fridge etc was good. The views were lovely and the apartment was warm and cosy. Parking out front included.

Communication could be a lot better and help to personalise the experience. A simple welcome pack with what to do and what to expect, especially for those staying for a week or more as I was. i.e. where to eat, what to see, when the apartment will be cleaned (or whether you should clean it yourself), what to do with rubbish etc. It's a fairly standard inclusion and I was surprised it hadn't been thought of. A few additions to the apartment itself, like a broom, would also be handy. The managers were responsive but I didn't want to bother them too much and a few simple additions would mean you didn't have to.
