The weekend started out promising when I messaged the owners about having 3 dogs stay, even tho the listing said 2 dogs max. A very prompt & friendly response approved our 3rd dog & I quickly built a friendly rapport with the owner thru a few messages. We needed emergency care for one of our dogs while visiting. Because we do not know anyone in the area, I messaged the owner, since we had that rapport, asking a few questions about emergency vet services. This was beyond the scope of what she should need to respond to, but I knew from the tone of her messages, she wanted us to enjoy ourselves while there & not have to deal with extra hassles. Again, her responses were prompt & useful. As for the cottage, it is very cute inside & it felt like they thought of everything to make guests comfortable. I didn't discover the small flashlights in a basket in the kitchen until the 2nd day. Spices, basic cooking oils, pots & pans, plus a gas grill on the patio all made for an easy stay. I saw some comments about the sofas in the TV room. I was not able to sit on them, but I need seating with good support. My husband had no issue with the sofas. I enjoyed the room by the backdoor, which had a comfortable seating area. The yard - we weren't sure from the pictures if it would be fenced in or not (for the dogs). It is not. We weren't crazy about the neighborhood, but it is very close to downtown. All in all, I felt we were in good hands & if we needed anything, extremely responsive.

House was cute, clean and plenty of room. Yard was a little overgrown but functional. Good location, close to downtown. Only issue was strong air freshener that I think may have been scented AC filter. But overall nice place and would stay again!

Lots to like about this property as it's in a quiet neighborhood with privacy. We spent a lot of time working on a challenging puzzle, visiting local attractions and watching movies together - just relaxing and enjoying a much needed break. House is nicely updated and kitchen with 2 refrigerators was appreciated. Our 3 boys enjoyed the 2nd floor with their own TV. We walked to town and drove to the beach (with gear we found driving easier for beach). Couches in the main living room were the only negative - these were a little less supportive then we prefer. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and time together in South Haven!!

We enjoyed our vacation in South Haven. The home was very charming and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need. It is also conveniently located near the beach, shops, and restaurants. We loved going to the farmer’s market and checking out the shops and restaurants.

Amazing place. Loved the space. It was clean and had so many things to make our stay eaay.

Our family of 4 loved the layout of the house. Nice yard with firepit. Convenient location. The property manager was very responsive. We didn't see a toaster in the house so we texted her to ask about it and soon went grocery shopping to Meijer, and by the time we returned, there were both a toaster and a toaster oven that had been dropped off! We'd stay there again.

It was a prefect location to the harbor, beaches and shops.

We were in town for a wedding and needed a place for our family and this was a perfect location. We were able to walk downtown a few times and the owners were very accommodating and responsive. Would definitely go back!
