Friendly staff. Great location near bridge over Nile. Great value for money.

Some guests could not keep noise level down after 10pm.

Setting was beautiful and the place has a unique safari vibe. Campfire + cold drinks = can't go wrong!! Food quality was good and beds were comfortable. Power situation was a nice surprise - fans stayed on most of the night and our devices all fully charged. Vegetarian options at each meal was greatly appreciated! The value for the money can't be beat.

The bathrooms in the rooms need renovations. Otherwise there really isn't anything negative to say.

The camp is conveniently located close to the UWA headquarters and boat docks. You can walk along the main road for 2 minutes and reach both of those locations. The view from the dining area onto the Nile is magical. The rooms had mosquito nets and netting across the windows, as well as locks for the huts. The kitchen was able to provide us with a spontaneous lunch when we arrived. Staff was friendly and helpful in giving directions to the Falls. If you have your own car the Murchison Falls are easily reachable within 20 minutes.

When we arrived the staff told us to sit down and wait, but did not provide any further information until we inquired what was going on after 10 minutes (there was no one else there, so it was unclear why they could not help us straight away). This was a little bit annoying since we had been on the road all day and just wanted to order some food and take a shower. The toilets are a little bit of a trek away from the huts. So definitely bring a flash light at night.

The family room was great, a lot of space, clean, good shower en beds! We did there a great morning drive and we even saw a lion family! The staff was very friendly and the food was good!

Nothing, even the hyppos in the evening where part of the adventure. Only the babboons you have to be care because they try to take some of our stuff..

The family unit was satisfactorily clean, but the lighting system was a little non-conventional, one switch put on/off several lights for example. I liked the idea of having to make our own coffee and tea to take with us for the game drive. Staff at the reception were friendly, and helpful.

Breakfast was pricy for what it was. We ordered chapatti, eggs, samosas, and a sandwich. The chapattis were rather oily but okay, the samosas both beef and vegetable were not okay. The sandwich was rather pricy for what it turned out to be, but otherwise okay. The lighting was rather deem, and a bat inside the unit kept some of us awake at night.

Company advertises withdrawal of cash. yet no such means. could pay for accommodation via eftpos but no service for food/ drink. cash only. we were caught short as this is not mentioned in booking dot com ad or email sent.

no reply via booking.com we had to call hotel from phone to get answers to our questions. electricity at limited times. no wifi. except the booking.com accomodation fee, everything on cash. when the hotel full, its difficult to find a place at common areas. we couldnt get enough info about game drives and boat tours. not comfy beds. we had lodge with balcony at queen elizabeth park with less price

I felt there may have been bedbugs in my bed. I awoke with several very itchy bites.

We like the location and staff. The general settings were ok, well arranged for food limited food choice but of good quality. Facilities we stayed in a lodge with private bathroom very basic but clean.

Very dark but this was maybe due to the fact that it is in the middle of the nature reserve and lights are limited.

They were so friendly to change the booking of one night to the Red Chilli place in Kampala without extra cost. The location in Murchison is amazing right in the middle of Murchison Falls NP. The food is good and the rooms are clean!

Location was amazing, price was also great. Accommodation basic but all you needed was there. You're in the middle of a national park what's not to love!

Red Chili Rest Camp has management and organizational problem. We were not able to pay via booking because apparently the person responsible for credit card payment was not in the office. Their "official" statement was that credit card payment is not available for security reasons. Therefore, we had to send mobile money once we arrived in Uganda to confirm our reservation and when switching between 3 currencies and converting we had to pay more than the original price that was listed on booking.com. Not cool. The next problem was, that they do not list the tenets they rent our on the booking.com webpage. So we booked a cabin but they put us in a tent. There is absolutely no mention of tents on booking but once you arrive there they claim you made a mistake. Unbelievable. Abysmal service. So we spent one night in the tent, because - of course - all the cabins were booked out and then after quite some discussions with the manager (who did not understand the problem) they moved us to a cabin. For the third night they wanted us to move again - because not only are they selling tents as cabins on booking, but they also messed up how many nights we had booked and all the cabins were booked out again. So overall I can absolutely not recommend this place - it seems like they wanna mess with the customers every chance they get and profit stands above all else.
