My husband and I enjoyed a very quiet, relaxing stay at The Rock. The location is well off the beaten path and wonderfully private—exactly the kind of place we love to find. The property itself is beautiful and fun to explore. The river area is incredibly serene, and I can only imagine how stunning the lavender fields must be when they’re in full bloom.We accidentally took the wrong path (went left at the old camper) on our way to the canyon and ended up on top of the mountain instead. Most trails are easy, but this one was definitely steeper and rockier—still very peaceful, though.It rained almost nonstop during our stay, but we didn’t mind. We spent plenty of time relaxing on the screened‑in porch (“the living room”) and curled up in bed binge‑watching Paramount. On our second night, we ventured into town for carry‑out pizza from Michael’s, and it was delicious.Jeff, our host, was easy to communicate with and checked in at both the beginning and end of our stay. Overall, we had a lovely experience and would absolutely consider returning to this property for a future trip.

We had the most enjoyable trip staying at this cabin. Jeff was a great, informative host! The property is one-of-a-kind. Probably the best we have ever stayed at. I wish we had booked more time immediately upon leaving. There was nothing like sitting on the large screened-in porch listening to the nature sounds at night!

The property was beautiful with wonderful views. It was divided into picturesque spots to enjoy, but each spot contained a blemish that really needed attended to. At the river Gazebo there was a dilapidated plastic table that needed gathered up but instead was being ignored and mowed around. Behind the hot tub was a car bumper and tire. Also the Hot tub lid had broken at some time and it would not keep temperature so it was cold and buggy. There was no way to skim the water and if we wanted to use it we had to go out every 20 min for 2 hours before use to turn on the jets to heat it up. The Cabin was fairly clean but the one bedroom had an ant problem . However our biggest issue, we were provide with 1 roll of Toilet paper for 4 people and our stay was a full week. When I contacted the property manager for a supply he simply answered, "Normally we leave a few rolls." but did not do anything to rectify the issue when asked. Since the nearest store was a 20 min drive 1 direction, that is a BIG DETAIL!
