So perfect, we came back for our third year in a row. Crystal Haven is starting to feel like our very own vacation home :) Awesome, quiet location within a short drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Beulah, Frankfort, golf at Arcadia Bluffs, and more… Though if the weather’s great, you may not want to leave the house! Pictures don’t do justice to the views of the lake that hit you the moment you walk through the door and the owners have thought of every detail.

The property was spotless, well designed and the kitchen extremely well stocked - zero complaints! Bedrooms are all cozy. Favorite part was having a glass of wine on an Adirondack chair out on the dock. Location is equal distance to Frankfort and Beulah, very close to several trails, and just a half hour to the dunes and Glen Arbor. I almost didn’t want to review because great places on Crystal Lake are difficult to find and I don’t want to make it harder for us to book next time but here we go haha 5 stars, 2 thumbs up - cheers!

This home is as lovely as it looks. The home owners have thought of everything. You can almost come with just a suitcase, grocery’s and a few necessities and you would need nothing else. The kitchen is well stocked, lots of bathroom towels, cozy blankets, life jackets, water toys, out door games…you name it! It is important to note that the beach is rocky and there is no easy entry for littles under the age of 5. If your kids are incredibly comfortable in the water and swim its not problematic, but for littles that need to ease in or play in a shallow sandy area this isn’t it. The homeowner la are also very responsive.

When we arrived on Saturday there was no need for AC but on Sunday wanted to change AC temp and found that there was a lock on the thermostat. Asked for the code to change the temp and was advised it is an Ecco system and we cannot have access to it. Showed them multiple times with a Thermoworks thermometer and a baby monitor that the temp upstairs was 78 or above. My 14 month old granddaughter could not sleep in these conditions. We contacted them multiple times about temp but were told that it is working as designed from a report they see. They would not get anyone to come over and check it. We complained multiple times and were told that if we did not stop complaining then they would evict us. The owners did check back with us on Wed after they were back in town and I did say it was alright because we did not want to be evicted. We had already gone out and bought a fan so everyone had a fan so they could sleep. The downstairs was always hot. We were notified on Sunday that we would be charged for them to have someone come out for service because the next person could not get the grill to light. The grill is difficult to light because of the wind coming off of the lake. They have cameras that they say are controlled by VRBO and they told us on Sunday after checking out, that we had damaged the grill regulator. Regulators control the amount of propane gas delivered to the grill and are located next to the propane tank. They record you moves and what you are saying. They have a ring doorbell camera, one positioned on the deck and one by their kayaks. Anything you say in the backyard is heard on their cameras. We were told that we broke the regulator but if you look up online that a person cannot break a regulator that is a faulty part and a Renter should not have to pay for an Owners issues.

Great house, clean, updated and on a beautiful property. We’ve always lived Crystal Lake and this has been our best stay so far. Deb was easy to communicate with and made our entrance and exit as easy as possible.

This place was fantastic. It was super clean. It had everything that one would need to feel right at home. Great location. The owners were super easy to reach. Owners are very well organized and have thought of everything. We had a great time.

Crystal Haven is a beautiful, clean, comfortable place that's equipped with everything you need for your lake vacation. The owners thought of every detail. This is by far the best vacation rental we have ever stayed in (we've stayed in MANY!). The views of the lake and sunsets are spectacular. We especially enjoyed swimming and paddling in the crystal clear water.
