Plenty of room, a lot of activities, peaceful and scenic, wildlife around. Loved it!

Had a great time. The house was great for our purposes, many areas to sit and visit. Kitchen was great for preparing and serving meals.

Plenty of room for everyone, well stocked kitchen, lots of room for parking. House could use screens on the windows and patio door to enjoy the cool evenings as the upstairs bedrooms don’t cool off well with the A/C. We enjoyed the games and being together in your house.

So great for balance of rest and family interaction. They thought of everything and then some. Clean, cozy, comfortable, great views, spacious, every amenity we needed for our large family.

Great property, great location, beautiful view. Could use a little maintenance. Holes in window screens, one burner on kitchen range was difficult to turn off, it smelled from gas. Kitchen very spacious.

The views from every window in this house is amazing. The kitchen is so well stocked and it made it very pleasant to cook every day for all twelve of us. The large amount of parking and garage space was perfect for the members of our family that went on atvs to the trails and sites. It was awesome that with a very inexpensive permit we were able to drive the atv’s on the roads to get to all of the nearby trails and sites. We had plenty of room to park our trucks and trailers. Deer would walk right up to the house, there was a huge rabbit that would also come visit the yard. It was very beautiful. Our families had a wonderful time this week there was plenty of room for us all to hang out and play games together. Not sure when we will make it back to South Dakota, but will love to return and will definitely stay here again! Super easy to get your atv/utv road permits. First go online to website dor.sd.gov. Fill out the form 1030. Get copy of drivers license, social security card and ATV registration. Email it to Karen at khicks@custercountysd . com. You will need to do this for each vehicle. Any questions call Karen at 605-673-8172. She is very nice and super helpful. Email her the forms at least two weeks before you leave so you can print them out. (Now you can drive pretty much anywhere a car would except interstates.) Once you get to South Dakota you also need a trail permit. Exit 61 off of Interstate 90 visitors center and some gas stations sell them. Or call forest service to get in advance 605-355-3600. Get them both for an amazing experience.

Amazing place to stay !

We stayed in June this year and the host was amazing to work with. The house is set up great for large families, the amenities the property has was great to keep everyone busy and happy. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen has about anything you could need to make your own meals if you want. Highly recommend and we plan to come back.

We had a wonderful stay in Lead. We had 6 adults and 7 teenagers and had plenty of room. The game area downstairs and hot tub was a favorite among the kids! So much space that we never felt crowded. And the morning sunrise views were stunning! We were able to snowmobile right from the house, the trail was just down at the main road, very convenient! However, if you have big vehicles or a trailer would suggest to be sure to come into the house from by the Lead school and not by the gas station (which is where the gps brought us) the road is very steep and has sharp turns, we got stuck with our trailer but all of the neighbors were amazing and jumped right in to help! Once we went around and took the other way in we had no issues. Highly recommend this house for a big family or friends group. Nothing we would have changed. Thanks for sharing your house!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home in Deadwood. Tara was super responsive to any questions and concerns that arose. We celebrated our Dads 60th birthday and this house was great for our family of 18 ranging from age 1-60. There was plenty of room for our family and we never felt cramped. We would return! Thank you!

We all had so much fun! There was 4 generations of family and they all were amazed about the experience! We'd definitely would rent this home again!

From Toddlers to Retirement age, nice blend of stuff to do. Hot tub, Pool, Games, enough Bedrooms, Spare reading rooms, etc, Found some ATV trails just up the hill- A-Lot of fun.

What a wonderful house to staying in land. The views were amazing. The amenities were fantastic! Many good memories were made! The kitchen was well stocked. The bedrooms were clean. The bathrooms were clean. I would not hesitate to rent this home again on our next adventure!!

We really enjoyed our stay. This was our second vacation in this property and plan to return next year. Beautiful spacious property!!
