No real issues at all. Everything was great. If any advice, it’s maybe just bring a lighter or matches if you want to use the grill. Fantastic spot.

Nice secluded slice of beach!Absolutely loved the pool on the deck, which was bigger than it seems in the pictures! We visited during the first week of March, with winds coming in from the NE, so the beach wasn’t nice to swim in. Tons of seaweed washed up on the beach, and the water was super warm and very brown so you couldn’t see the bottom. I imagine it clears up when the winds come from a different direction, but we didn’t hangout much at the beach much during our stay. Saw some cool birds, lots of pelicans, and watch out for coatis on the road in!The place had everything we needed, A/C, fans, nice shower, comfy bed, blender for pina coladas! The palapa at the end of the dock was often windy but super nice to lounge on the hammock and feel the warm breeze. The casita is located about 20min north of Placencia, which was nice and quiet. Lots of delicious food options within 10-20 minutes. We loved the breakfast at Maya Beach Resort, so delicious.

Check in fairly easy. The property manager did not show up when we arrived for check in, but that’s a non issue as was easy to get inside the casita. What we were confused with was who all the people in the larger home on the property were, we were not informed or read anywhere in the listing that this was a possibility, or mention of another home on the property. Although the pictures show another home, that can be deceiving, and I think should be clear and clarified for those looking for privacy. The handbook in the house says not to drink any water, so I reached out for clarification and was told that the cold water in the kitchen faucet is drinkable. Maybe an update to that portion would be helpful, as well as where the bicycles, snorkel gear, etc is for use. This could avoid multiple messaging back and forth of questions when we would like to be in and out and not need to bother anyone. (Only offering as a suggestion) The area of the casita is as described, we had many back and forth outings with our rental car, and a good beach session at the house.
