We absolutely loved this unit! It had everything we needed to cook at home — perfect set up for kids to be in their own bathroom — and the location for beach and pool (2 pools!) access was PERFECT!

Pros - close to the beach, 3 bedrooms, underground parking Cons - not very clean upon arrival, didn't know we had to pay a separate resort fee until after we booked, customer service was not able to answer my questions, our parking space flooded during rain storm

We had a wonderful family vacation. The place was very comfortable and spacious for our family of 4. Stunning views and a perfect location. We will be back for sure.

Home was great for our family. I recommend bringing fans for the two smaller bedrooms. Central air was not as strong in those rooms as it was in the rest of the home

With my moms recovering knee from knee surgery and my fathers medical conditions needing a liver transplant, this location and facility was a good fit for their needs. Elevator. Close to beach. 2nd floor. Relaxing balcony. We celebrated my moms birthday as a family and it was just what we all needed! Beds were comfy! The only thing was wasn’t swept good when we arrived. Other than that, wonderful! Would vacation here again!

We really liked the masterbedroom on the ocean side that gave us an ocean view from bed. Wave noise lulled us to sleep. The internet and tvs were terrific and newer which was important since we needed the net for business and study. Kitchen appliances were newer and made staying in for many meals during covid easier. Only beef was hallway noise in the rear bedroom. This was an issue at other Sea Colony places we rented. Most of the pools closed for the season during our visit but the indoor pool, hot tub, and exercise club made up for this. Easy parking right under the unit made unpacking easy and we were able to leave beach chairs in the car (beach chair rentals also closed during our mid-Sept stay). The Sea colony surrounded by drug stores, restaurants, and even a donut shop so we could walk to shop except for a Giant(Large supermarket chain) run that was 5 miles. Fishing rules on beach have eased since our visit years ago making these rentals more attractive.

Lots of clean towels and sheets were provided at our unit. nice balcony. Good sunlight into the condo. The only thing I would say is the floor in the apartment was a bit sticky and sandy...which I know is hard to clean sand. Would highly recommend! We had an awesome stay.

The house was dirty. The shower in the master bathroom did not work properly. The water got cold after a short period of time.

We expected a lot out of this condo considering that we paid almost double what we could have paid to stay at other vrbos closeby. It was definitely not worth the price. Firstly, although we knew this place was a condo, it was not clear just how huge Sea Colony was. It is, in fact, a giant complex of highrises on the water that take away from the charm of the rest of quaint Bethany Beach. The beach itself is lovely and the pools are nice enough but our experience felt very mass produced. Secondly, the amount of amenities fees that are added to your price for things that should be included especially in a "home away" setting was just ridiculous. You have to pay extra for sheets, towels, trash can liners and TOILET PAPER. Plus all the rules hidden in the details make for a stay that is less than relaxing. You must wear a badge everywhere, including on the beach and at the pool. The room must be vacated by 10 am on your checkout day or a $100 fine ensues and the community badges/parking passes expire at eleven, essentially cutting the last day of your vacation short. It turned what we thought would be a pleasant weekend at the beach into Saturday at the beach with a lot of driving/hurrying on Friday and Sunday. Even the pool and beach hours were limiting. Pools didn't open until 10 am which left a lot of the morning open for those with young children who are up with the sun. Definitely not what we expected.
