Reception were on the phone to their friend for a long time while I was waiting Room is not in same building as reception it’s a couple mins walk away and you are sent away with instructions on how to get there and not actually shown where it is It’s a little out of the city

I booked a private room at Chillax, looking to save a bit of money but still stay fairly close to the action in Osaka, maybe meet a few people to hang out with in the evenings. The decor in the lobby was fun and some of the staff were very nice. Overall the value was okay, I wanted a cheap place to sleep and base out of and that is exactly what I got.

My room didn't feel the cleanest. The carpet was stained and felt grimy. There was also not a bathroom on my floor, so I had to take the stairs or elevator just to pee at night. Vibes were a bit off, it felt a bit like friends hang I wasn't invited to. I waited patiently to check in for quite awhile, thinking the staff wasn't around, until one of them who'd been laying on the couch realized what was happening and got up to check me in, so maybe we got off to a bad start.
