Great location. Comfy bed, ensuite, unusual living area built into an old garage with lots of interesting old wares on display.
Friendly dog and rabbit.
Need two couches in the outdoor living area so you can relax while watching TV

great location, beautifully setup. Loved the outdoor kitchen.
Enjoyed visiting local wineries, loved rail trail & lunch at Chauncy :)

Quirky outdoor kitchen and lounge area.
Great breakfast was also provided to us by Kate. Amazing egg muffins!!
The weather we had was great but a cold night could mean you would be stuck in facilities like a motel room. Luckily this was not the case for us.

Kate is a warm and thoughtful host who provides everything you need for a comfortable stay plus helpful advice on the area, but also gives you space to enjoy the property and facilities as you like. And her friends around town, like Derek (Tonka Coffee) and Toby (the Wine Hub), will make you feel equally welcome.
There are ample reviews that explain the unique features of the property, so make sure you read them. eg If you require a fully enclosed living area, or don’t like dogs or chickens, this is not your kind of place.
But know that everything works very well in its own way, and there’s probably no better place to get the best from a few days in Heathcote.
Saying goodbye to Elsie the chocolate Labrador.

Bedroom was small but well appointed and comfortable. Location was good.
Kitchen/lounge was effectively outside with 2 missing walls and problematic electrical wiring. Possibly ok in summer but not winter.

Clean and cosy b&b overlooking a private garden. The host Kate was lovely and made us daily delicious home made breakfasts. Lots of extras provided like a loaf of bread, tea/coffee & bathroom essentials.
Nothing, would recommend.

Kate had the chimnea going when we arrived so comfortable and enjoyable

Good hearty breakfast with plenty of choice. Perfect for our stopover to eat at Chauncy.

Clean and comfortable and the host was very helpful. Breakfast was excellent as well.
The dog is a sweetheart.
By any measure that zI can see the property is much more than 100m from the centre of Heathcote. There is a substantial walk involved to get to most destinations.
Also, while it isn’t a big point, access is only possible through the bathroom which is a bit inconvenient.

Kate was a fantastic hostess going out of her way to help us. The location in the Main Street of Heathcote is very convenient. The property itself is quaint and character-filled and met all our needs comfortably.

An exceptional breakfast. So much we were able to put some in a container and have it for our lunch on the road. The bed was so comfortable and soft. The setting was a new experience for us. Kate has decorated the place with old wares which were something to talk about. Kate was helpful with where to have an evening meal..the local pub was great. The crowd friendly.
I cant think of anything that could have been done better.

We enjoyed the host’s genuine country hospitality, generosity and warmth during our stay. Every item in making your stay comfortable was provided including a few surprises.
The additional company of Elsie and the chooks helped us relax and smell the roses.
It is a different stay but one which we found very enjoyable.

The location and the apartment was nicely decorated. The owner supplied extras that most don't. The bed was very comfortable. Shower nice and hot. The kitchen area is outside and decorated with things from the past which we enjoyed saying we had that or our parents had them . Home made breakfast was a bonus and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice to stay somewhere which had a bit of history to it. Would highly recommend
Nothing except the mossies decided to join us at dusk but that can't be helped

I had a wonderful time at Ferguson’s Store! Kate was so accommodating, and everything was immaculate. I loved the personal touches; fresh eggs from the chickens on-site, a toasty fire, luxurious bed quilt, delicious breakfast. Easy walk to restaurants and pubs, and a private and cosy little oasis to relax in. Can’t wait to visit again soon!
Everything was excellent.

Excellent value for money, gray location, handy to town. Very clean and comfortable with generous brekky provisions.
I do like a key lock box, rather than needing to arrange a meeting.

The bed was lovely, everything else was awful.
The kitchen was in an outside in an open carport. Very cold even with the wood fire in the driveway. Electic furniture which was nice but the electricals I was very worried about. Heater in bedroom did not work. Cold shower. Hot water came on for a minute but then stopped??? After I had tea in the kitchen, which I went and bought nearby. I turned the lights off and the water feature and went to bed which was very comfortable. The owner came home and hit the roof. Said I should not have touched anything. From then on I got rude messages on my phone stating how stupid I was. etc.etc. In a few days she kept messaging very rudely, saying I was dumb and that I left fridge open. I did not, I think it as another thing for her to be a bully.
Must admit I got there late, I got lost on the way. She was ok initially, then I got the ' messages' continuously about how awful I am. I have a copy of all messages on phone. They are interesting reading. ALSO, believe the building would not pass safety issues. It is a fire waiting to happen. Why not send someone to stay the night on a cold day and check it out.
