Great beach location away from Oahu tourist areas but within reasonable drive to Honolulu attractions. The house is nice and secure, fenced in for privacy, approx. 300 hundred feet from the beach (just show ID at base gate to walk through to beach) and short walk to nearby stores. The Beachhouse restaurant just inside the base gate is great place for dinner, drinks and live entertainment.

Very clean and nicely furnished. Everything we needed was there. The distance to the beach was a short walk and the beach was very good.

There could have been a bit more response from the host relative to specific questions we had about the property. We tried to reach the host by email and by phone. the host never answered the phone but his answering system was full and the host failed to return our email.

The house was clean and cute and spacious! It was the perfect fit for our family - 2 adults and 3 teenagers. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and dining in. The snorkels were a hit with the kids. The extremely short walk to the beach was awesome. Since we are an Army family, we had Military ID access to the “mostly private beach.”

We would have appreciated more linens and dishes since we had a family of 5. There were only 4 towels, washcloths, beach towels, and plates/bowls. This was not horribly inconvenient; a very minor complaint. Also, the neighbor’s rooster was loud and annoying. However, since I too own chickens, I got used to it. Who wants to sleep in while in Paradise anyway???

We loved the house, kitchen had everything we needed.. There were beach toys and towels and yard was great for sitting outside when grandson was napping Beach was quiet and kid friendly

To be honest we were a little concerned with the area when we arrived. However, once we were able to get out an explore we felt very safe and comfortable as there is army checkpoint right by the house. We had the whole beach to ourselves both mornings, the house was AMAZING!! I highly recommend this place to anyone that travels here. It was really nice having the locked gates with easy access when coming and going. We wished we had booked this place for our entire stay on the Island

I would say the area, but the house and amenities made up for it, want to go back already

it was newly remodeled, clean, very comfortable beds.

It has a cozy modern vibe to this beach house. It's beautiful in and out. It had everything we needed. We even borrowed the tube and boogie board, and the sand toys to go to the beach and my 6 year old son loved it. Its nice they also have a shower in the backyard. I loved sitting outside in the pati9 is was very relaxing. There's ac inside. And also a washer and dryer out. Very hospitable owners

I didnt have any complaints at all except it was an hour from Honolulu but that's not their fault. I got it close to the wedding venue we were going to

Loved being right near the beach, and walking distance to restaurants. The home was well kept, clean and waiting for us. There were beach "toys" and towels for our family for use. Plus extra touches like having a grill outdoors, outdoor dining table, and laundry made everything so easy. Kitchen had supplies, pots, pans, dishes and even spices. Would definitely stay again. Lovely views and private parking, too!

This is a gem. It exceeded our expectation. It's a little hothe little house tucked in amongst bungalows. There's plenty of room for a family and a lot of outdoor living It's possible. You're right down the street from the beach and it's a great location.

Collecting the keys could have been easier. We waited about 45 minutes after we arrived because we never received proper information.

We loved that the house was equiped with everything we needed. Everything was clean and well organized. The house appeared recently renovated with great updates. The easy accessibility to beautiful beaches was also a plus. The bed was comfy and the air-conditioning was perfect.

We stayed on new years and there was a lot of outside noise, but nothing earplugs couldn't solve.

It was clean and attractive and a quiet location on the island.

kitchen was not well appointed with barely any silverware or coffee mugs. The soap dispenser in the shower was nearly empty and there was almost no laundry soap. They did eventually bring extra silverware and more soap but it took a while so that our trip was nearly over by the time it came.

The location was perfect. The house was amazing for our whole family, we were very comfortable and had a great stay!!

It's like your in your own little oasis, jus steps from the beach to enjoy that BEAUTIFUL sunset

The only thing that threw me off, which was NOT the fault of the property, was that Google maps doesn't have an updated view of the house. When you map it, it shows the property that was there PRIOR to the new owners and renovations.

Army beach near the property with amazing sunsets. But do not trust the calm sea there, the currents can drag you out to the sea easily…

This property has serious ant and roach problems. I advise you to keep your entire pantry in the refrigerator and not in the large kitchen cabinets or the large counter that the property has since ants will invade your food in spite of the fumigation that the owner says has applied. We would have appreciated a warning beforehand as we had to toss most of our dry food. Unfortunately, the owner does not give any notice about this situation, wanting to imply that it is an unknown problem for the property and that it is a good thing that he is being notified. If you read other comments from past guests you will see that the problem is repeated with each new guest. Too bad I didn't get a chance to read those comments before our arrival. In general, the communication with the owner was difficult. We had to wait a couple of days with no response to our messages. The easiest was to call him directly to get a response. After check in we started to receive a bunch of automated messages from him. We realized these were automated as we were not getting a response to our questions until the ant situation occurred. During our stay they also sent maintenance to fix the lock of one of the main doors. This has been pending since June according to a review I read on this platform. This should have been done prior to our arrival, instead of us having to wait for someone to come unexpectedly and making us waste our vacation time. There is no safe in the unit so we didn’t feel comfortable with people coming in and out of the property if we were away. Despite having the military police within 2 blocks, the neighborhood is quite intimidating, nothing like the East or North Shore and too noisy for a good rest. In general, not worth the price we paid.

I liked the property and the large yard outside. I liked that it was within walking distance of a beautiful beach.

We had 3 problems with the property. 1. There was no hot water. We had to take cold showers. 2. There were a ton of ants in every room. 3. The AC unit didn't work in one of the bedrooms. I was very impressed that the owner was able to have a new AC installed and working by the second day.
