What a stupendous vacation at the most PERFECT beach house! The private beach is something I could only dream about before. The Beach Shack made me feel like I was living a Jimmy Buffet song, reminiscent of the cottages of old time Florida but updated. It was a lovely little place with a huge outdoor living space. There are loads of great restaurants and shops both on the Key and just over the bridge. There is every kind of watersport you can imagine. But the private beach was so secluded, we only left to eat. Plenty of nightlife within a mile, with music and specialty drinks. Albert, our host, was SO wonderful and immediately responded to any of our questions. The Beach Shack is decorated in a beach theme and was clean, tasteful and had everything we needed. Plus, Publix and Winn Dixie are 5 minutes away if you want to grill. The public beach was a bike ride away and all the beaches are open until midnight. Everyone goes to Stump Pass Beach to watch the sunset...except us. We watched from the private beach a few steps away. We loved it so much we were going to extend our stay but Hurricane Idalia came. So we cannot wait to come back. We rented B side, it was all we needed, a place to take a shower, sleep, and cookout, very clean, everything you needed and best of all , very close to the beach. I did have to call the owner Albert, due to some Karen's at another rental, they was telling me I could not setup on the beach in front of their unit bc it was a private beach, but Albert came right away, and explained to them and me where I was at was perfectly fine, and that it was not a private beach, so cudos to Albert. This was our 1st time in this area, everything, very close by, area pretty quiet, our last night we were setting on the huge patio next to the tiki bar, and new renters next door has several teenagers, after 10 pm outside hollering and cussing, but I took care of that pretty quick. For a couple this is a GREAT place to stay, if we come back to this area will definitely stay here if possible. Again kudos to the owner Albert, he will be there if you need him!

This property was fully equipped with everything you could possibly want and need for a weekend at the beach! Everything was clean, and most importantly, the beach was a short, easy, not even 2 minute walk from the house. 10/10 would recommend!

This property feels extremely private, even with the front unit occupied. The hosts supply a generous variety if beach essentials and extras. The beach is gorgeous and also feels very private as you will only see the neighbors and it’s not at all crowded. If you really want to sift for sharks teeth you’ll find plenty at the private beach and blind pass is a very short drive or bike ride away if you REALLY need teeth. We found almost 300 teeth, plus lovely shells and we saw a nesting sea turtle on a late night walk! We have no complaints. Notes if your booking? Barely any and about what you expect. The pull out bed is a little thin but an extra mattress pad would easily solve that. The kitchen has cooking utensils and pans but they are the cheapest of cheap, so bring your own if that will bother you. The dinner wear is very nice and the dishwasher is quiet though, which makes a big difference in a smaller space. If you are traveling with a very small child bring a booster seat or high chair and beach supplies for them as the property doesn’t have much in that category (I imagine they get lost frequently.) oh and pack water resistant beach shoes or sandals as the pavement gets very hot.

Love this place! The beach is so close and you cannot beat the private beach access!The house is clean and cute. The host has provided everything you need for the perfect beach getaway. The area is nice and not super busy. We were able to bring our dog to the beach which was a huge plus. The outdoor shower is very convenient. The host is very responsive. Our family had a great time here! Only wish we could've stayed longer.

Good location, quite, very close to beach . The only issue was the ac would not keep the house cool in the hottest part of the day. Inside temperature got up to 80 a few days.

We had a wonderful stay. Beach was just a short walk down a path. Location was within close proximity to restaurants. It was equipped with everything we needed for a day on the beach.

We had everything we needed for our time there. Beach chairs, umbrellas, shark teeth hunting tools, bikes, kayaks, fishing poles, and more. This place is the back unit of a duplex right on the main road. Expect road noise, but it is a quiet street for the most part. Open the windows at night to hear the waves crashing in. Great outside areas with plenty of options to sit in sun or shade. Nice to have a propane grill to cook on. The best part is the 1 minute walk to a private beach right at the end of the short road! We walked to Stump Pass to the south and Blind Pass the the north. It was a perfect location for us!

We had such a great time. Our host had everything that you need for a great day on the beach. Already planning on returning.

Perfect location! One hundred steps to a beautiful uncrowded gulf beach! The spacious outside property was very much enjoyed! Having the bikes included was an extra that we enjoyed! Albert was very quick to respond with any questions we had. Hope to return there again!

Very nice roomy updated condo. Nice pool and the scenery was unbelievable. Got picked up at the dock and off into the sunset. Restaurants you can walk to or call Stumps for a free ride. Beach is a short walk or drive. Plenty of beach stuff for you to use! Dana and Jim were wonderful.

This rental is so nice. It's beach theme decor is cute. The place is cozy and neat. A short 2 minutes walk from the beach down a shared lane. We arrived late in the dark, and went to Unit 1 by mistake but figured out our mistake immediately and were glad for the code entry. If we had any "wants ", it would have been to find a cooler, beach cart and "shark tooth shovel" in the shed. We'll definitely be back very soon. We highly recommend this vacation rental.

This rental is in a great location and very close to the beach. It was the perfect place for my family to relax and enjoy the key after visiting Disney. The description of the property was accurate and there were a lot of extras in the shed. We really enjoyed the beach and liked the shower on the patio to rinse off when returning. The pull out bed (couch) was uncomfortable but that is to be expected and it was perfect for our 8 year old. Overall this property was perfect for our needs and the price was reasonable.

We had such a great relaxing week away from the busy world we live in. The house is clean, located a few feet from the beach. The patio is super cute! 10/10 would recommend and would definitely go back!!!

The cottage was great! The cleaning broom was not functional, the refrigerator, freezer was set up so high it was freezing food! We adjusted it and it worked fine! We enjoyed all the chairs, umbrellas, etc! The beach was just steps away! Thanks for a great vacation!

My grandson and I take a long weekend each summer to Manasota Key - our favorite beach. This was best trip ever due to the location, the apartment and all the provided beach equipment.

This property is a very short walk to the beach. The host provides chairs, umbrella's, bicycles and children's beach toys. The property was very clean and quiet. The only thing that I saw that could be changed is more details on where things are located. The host could provide information on basic TV operations since some guests may not be familiar with the FL cable system. If you have guest staying on the sleeper sofa you might want to take a mattress topper, you can feel the springs on the mattress. I do recommend this cottage, we had a wonderful time.

Great location by the beach! Friendly host. BIkes, chairs, boogie boards were fun to have access to, just not in the best condition. Other guests sharing did not put things back neatly. A pump and screw for umbrellas would have been a plus. Having a washer and dryer was great, but the shower is tiny. Overall, it is hard to beat the location, so would stay again!

As two seniors, this property was absolutely perfect for us. Just a very short walk to the beach and an immaculate little cottage environment. Thank you!

This VRBO rental was very clean and in a very nice safe neighborhood. The beach is literally steps away from the house. Access to the rental is very easy and provided by the owner day of. There's plenty of beach chairs, towels, two kayaks, umbrellas and beach gear for you to use. The only thing that we ran into was that the dryer doesn't shut off on its own. We turned it on before going to bed and it kept running throughout the night, which was odd. Other than that, we'd definitely go back and stay again. Cannot beat the price and location!

Can't say enough good things about this gem of a vacation spot! I will definitely be coming back or recommending this for visitors to the island!!!
