This is my third time visiting Cardiff, and staying at the Quayside Apartments. The best parts of the room we received on this visit was by far the space. We had a long corridor in the hallway which meant the kitchen, living and dining area was all laid out perfectly. I can only really compare it to last year where the sofa was parallel to the kitchen but this time it was behind the sofa and it mean the dining table had a nice area, really homely and fit our needs perfectly! The shower, while we didn't get a chance to use looked like a decent size, tho smaller than what we had last year! The bath was nice tho, all be it without an actual hanging mount for the shower head in there. The star of the show tho was absolutely the balcony. Ever since we started visiting and I saw on the pictures that you could have a view of the millennium centre and the water tower, it was all I ever hoped for and we got it this time! It was perfect and I never tired of looking out.

The wifi, which was amazing last year was definitely weaker this year. Tho that's the smallest of problems! The bigger stem from the fact once again their is a serious lack of toilet roll - we had a visit of 6 days with 3 people, and personally I don't think we were wasting it, it just feels so little. Same goes with the kitchen utensils, only one tablet for the dish washer, which was made only worse by the most minute amount of washing up liquid so even when we decided to wash up by hand, it didn't help, in the end we just used hand wash - Now I get if the incentive is that you buy your own, but I don't think there's any point because even the smallest amount you could buy, won't get used up by the time you check out. As well as this, some of the kitchen utensils; a few mugs and a baking tray were not very clean. The latter being very greasy and like it had a few stories to tell - we weren't planning on using it to be honest but still, point of principle! Other issues stem from the bedroom windows, which opened out and sideways were incredibly confusing to close so it kinda took away the incentive to use them - then finally, the worst issue was in the master bedroom, we had two twin beds together, but one of them had a massive dip in the mattress and upon closer inspection, the frame itself was dipped so. That said, all of this, did not ruin the fact the space and size of our apartment was by the best we've ever had - just a few small things that required a little TLC to get working.

Great location, close to shops and river. Nice little balcony to sit on overlooking courtyard. Kitchen with microwave and stove. Washing machine a bonus.

Had trouble entering. Wasn’t able to call to get door open. Another guest helped us in.

Couldn't have been in a better position in Cardiff Bay. Security was excellent! Furnished perfectly, powerful shower! I will definitely come back Thank you!

Please wash the windows!!
