Great property, great host, perfect location for everything.

This property was every bit as advertised. Provided the ideal home base for a daddy/daughter trip to visit the nation’s Capitol! Ideally located in Old Town Alexandria with grocery stores, restaurants and shopping all very walkable and, most importantly, easy access to downtown DC via car (15-20 minutes) or the Metro (10 minute walk to station and 20-30 minute ride in) to see all of the sites. The unit itself is in pristine condition and had everything we needed to be comfortable, including a full kitchen (Fridge, oven, stove, microwave and dishwasher) with all of the needed cookware and utensils, which we used to prepare many of our own meals. Great communication with the owner who made our stay very easy and turnkey. Without a doubt, would stay here again when visiting the area!

It felt like we began and ended our day in luxury. Perfect location for visiting DC. Jen was extremely accommodating and easy to get a hold of. Would highly recommend and would stay again!

We stayed at this property for a week to visit DC and see our son who was there for the summer. The location was perfect for walking to King St and the water for shopping and dining. The neighborhood is safe and street parking was never an issue. The hosts were receptive and quick to respond to all our inquiries and requests. The property was as listed, zero surprises, and was well stocked for our stay. The trip into DC was short (depending on time of day) and getting to the National Mall/museums was easy. I would highly recommend d this property to anyone visiting DC; Old Town Alexandria will not disappoint.

We had an incredible week staying here in the heart of old town Alexandria. Jen, the host, was an incredible host pre our visit and during from giving us recommendations for places to shop, parks to explore, and adventures to do as a family. We took her up on many of her recommendations and they were spot on. During our stay the place was quaint, clean, and had all the little things you could think of. On top of having the major things Iike a pack n play and toddler plates were a huge help! We hope to come back soon or tell all our family and friends!

The property was exactly as promoted. Check in was simple, and our host went the extra mile to make things as easy as possible. It’s an easy walk to King St and it’s dining and shopping area. The WMATA station is about 15 minutes away on foot, so getting into DC for outings was relatively painless. The neighborhood is charming and quiet. I recommend this as a perfect place for 1-2 to get away. We don’t have kids, but often travel with another couple. I think we would have found it a bit tight for 4 adults.
Remember to turn on the exhaust fan and air filters when cooking!!

Stayed here and spent time in DC with the family. The beds were very comfortable. The VRBO was very nice and just like it is pictured. There were several nice places to eat at that were very close by.

Great location to explore downtown Alexandria

Check-in and communication were excellent. Apartment was spotless and well designed. Beds, kitchen & Bath were comfortable and well stocked for a small group. Extremely dog- friendly. Neighborhood was great for walking with groceries(Trader Joe's & Harris Teeter), restaurants ( Casual to upper scale.. Great Breakfast place 2 blocks away) and historical sights, nearby. Parking was a breeze with the supplied parking pass. Weather was cold, but it was a treat to walk the Old Town neighborhood for several miles with the dog, everyday. The Torpedo Factory art area was certainly worth a visit, as well. The apartment was a great fit for 3 adults and 2 small dogs and the bed rooms were separated, if someone wanted to stay up later. Another son and grandson (3Yo)had fun visiting, as well. You will hear some dog & footstep noise from upstairs, but it is less than what you would hear in an apartment or hotel. Overall, Great hosts. We would highly recommend. Thanks!

This was a great location for our family. We loved the ease of getting into DC (couple of really close bus stops and metro station not far) and seeing all the sights there, but also be able to experience historic Alexandria. Felt like more of an authentic experience than staying in a standard hotel. The hosts were very accommodating and concerned that everything was just right for us.

Great location and spot with awesome amenities
This is the perfect spot with lovely amenities however there were three things that were frustrating. First, the listing says two bedrooms and while it has two beds (one is a Murphy bed) the second bed pulls out over the existing couch in the sitting area with no door or privacy. This was not a great situation for our family.
Next, the thermostat is controlled by the owners upstairs so you are dependent on them to lower and raise according to their desires. This too was frustrating because as you know what you desire may not be what we desire.
Finally, we could not use the rear patio area off our bedroom and the owners dogs and noise upstairs is distracting and wakes you up to say the least.
Again, it's a lovely place just take all of this into consideration when booking.

Hidden Gem
This was a beautiful property and just so perfect for our two dogs. Everything they could need was available and they and we felt right at home. The neighborhood was lovely and the waterfront was an easy and pretty walk.

Great place walking distance from Alexandria restaurants
Great place and location walking distance from all the restaurants and good base to visit DC. Property owners very responsive to requests.
Couple of minor issues, temp control are not in the apt but are in the owner house upstairs but there is a chimney and a space heater if it gets cold. Summary of property on vrbo says 2 bedrooms but there is only one, the other is a sofa bed in the living room. The apartment is in the basement.
Overall we were happy with the experience, apt is very cute and clean, also the kitchen has all you need. They also have a nespresso machine if that is your cup of coffee.

Perfect Stay!
We stayed in this property for 5 nights while our house was being renovated. The apartment is well equipped with everything you could need and very comfortable. The owners are very responsive and could not be nicer or more accommodating. The location in Old Town is perfect, a 5 minute walk to King Street and 10 minute walk to the river and parks. Great walkability to restaurants and shops. Would stay here again and again!
