Overall the property was EXCELLENT! We loved the open kitchen with a large counter and stools that overlooked the family room. It made a great setting for our family gathering and allowed us all to be together and share meals. The arcade room was a excellent surprise for both the millennial adults (who loved the nostalgia of the 80s and 90s games) as well as the kids. We used the large yard and the provided corn hole and horse shoes. There was also a great fire pit (with provided wood!) that we gathered around. The 5 bedrooms had ample space for our large extended family gathering. The wifi also worked very well. The shared lake access was very close and easy to use. (Although it is a small climb down the concrete barriers built to protect from erosion). It is shared access with the cottages on the other side of house. We had a small problem with a tenant of the cottages thinking it was their private lake access, but the owners of this house and the owners of the cottages solved that problem quickly and then we enjoyed the lake for many days. The house was also very close to the strip of Geneva on the Lake. It's less than a 5 minute drive to explore many different sights. The host was very responsive to communication and helped answer all of our questions.

The only complaint (and the only reason it's a 9 and not a 10) is that it's only 1.5 bath. The listed said it was 2 baths, but in reality the bathroom upstairs is just a toilet; so it's more accurately a 1.5 bath house. It was a challenge having all of us share the same shower. (However, the water heater was excellent and we never ran out of warm water for the shower.)

Communication, friendliness, flexibility & responsiveness of host. He went out of his way to make us comfortable by leaving a welcome package & having extra fans delivered for the upstairs bedrooms. He was also flexible to us having an extra group member for a night at short notice, The size of the living space & bedrooms was great. This was especially helpful to us, as we couldn't spend much time outside for 2- 3 of the days at the beginning of our trip, due to smoke from Canadian wildfires. The location of the house was very quiet, with lake views.

Generally, everything was great, but a small thing was that the lake access wasn't obvious, especially since there was a sign suggesting only access for the neighboring cottages. We had to ask Chase, who responded immediately. One of our party was told by a lady from the cottages that he could not sit on the deck, which Chase had told us belonged to the property.

The host was fabulous, and the house was roomy and well-equipped.

I loved the location. The house is right on the lake and the first night we slept with the windows open, when we woke up, the waves sounded just like the ocean. It was very relaxing! There was games for the kids and even though we didn’t get to make use of the fire pit due to time, it was amazing knowing it was there already filled with fire wood! The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space for everyone. Chase was amazingly nice and welcoming, and even left snacks and a bottle of wine.

There were two bathrooms but only one shower which was a little inconvenient but we managed to. And there was plenty of hot water to go around!!
