This was the first time we ever rented a home on a vacation, and boy, it did not disappoint! The view of Diamond Head, Honolulu and the ocean was breathtaking! Day or night, the view was spectacular. Glen and Lara were so easy to work with, always available to answer any questions, very accommodating and most of all just all around genuinely nice people. Sat in the hot tub almost every night enjoying the city lights. The home had everything we needed and more. The home is also conveniently located, close to everything. We also rented one of Glen's cars through TURO and it was super easy, great price and we drove it all around the island exploring! Would rent this property again in a heart beat! Thanks to Glen and Lara for making our dream trip even more special!

After a week in a 3BR apartment close to Waikiki Beach, this house on a hill not far away was everything we expected and hoped for and a fabulous retreat after the hustle of Kalakaua Ave. The awesome nature of the views from the main room, kitchen 2 bedrooms and lanai really cannot be captured by the photos. We also rented Glen and Lara's Honda Odyssey through RelayRides which was much more convenient and cheaper than a normal renting as the car was ready for us at the house and we could leave it there when we departed. You definitely need a car as the walk to shops while short is quite difficult because of the steep hill. Of course that is the price you pay for the views. The cooking facilities and kitchen were first class and the X-Box Kinect provided some fun and entertainment at night with the Waikiki skyline as a backdrop. Lara had left a wonderful welcome package which was really thoughtful and useful! The highlight of our stay was on the 4th July while watching the fireworks from Ala Moana, our son proposed to his girlfriend and she said "yes". This was the perfect way to begin our stay at OVH and ensuring we will always remember it fondly.

Gorgeous place, well-lit, upgraded interior. Property was very nice and clean with a beautiful view & nice breeze from the wraparound lanai. Hot tub was amazing. Glen and Lara were exceptional hosts - they provided a generous welcome basket, were very accommodating to our needs, and even gave us a parting gift. Convenient location. Highly recommend staying here.

We rented this house for our family to stay in while our daughter had a Hawaiian wedding. The view was beautiful, house very well set up, and comfortable. We were able to contact the owners and got a good response when the shower curtain rod fell down the first day. Mr. Robertson came right over and repaired it. I am from a small rural area, so I admit, the Honolulu traffic was scary to me, but we successfully navigated the area! We enjoyed the hot tub and view is terrific!

We highly recommend OVH after staying with our family, which consists of 6 adults. The wall of windows and huge lanai, with hot tub, is such a treat as it overlooks the city and ocean. The house is very well equipped and the amenities make living easy and comfortable. The location of the house is marvelous, minutes away from the freeway and downtown Honolulu. Shopping and restaurants are very close. Lara and Glen are gracious hosts/owners and accommodating. I just finished a crazy chaotic week with a very large extended family, coordinating a weeklong trip with family and friends and multi-generations (grandparents to young ones)... and this house was the much needed break away from the 'strip' rush that my family needed. My parents (one 75 one 82) felt spoiled by the truly breathtaking views and comfort, while my little nieces loved all the things to do there! Amenities were stocked and we felt so well taken care of and spoiled in this beautiful, well kept house. Never got a chance to pull out the kick-arse webber bbq, but we spent quite a few nights just enjoying the peace out on the linai, even hosting a dinner party one night (something you could NEVER do at a hotel), and making it the base ground for getting ready for our wedding! There is golfing and snorkeling equipment available too (both which we were planning on using but plans changed) - but as there's no true storage on the main floor, you just have to ask the owners in advance to bring it up for you from the basement. Lara and Glen were so kind and hospital - always making sure we had everything we needed - even dropped by to congratulate us (who were running late). We took them up on some local food recommendations down the street and had the BEST poke and Italian experience. Hawaii has now become my family's favorite vacation spot, and I would definitely recommend any and all their properties. Lara and Glen - thank you for making this such an enjoyable trip for my family, and for making it an even more special wedding day... I was able to run around and get everything ready knowing my family was happy there. And it was a blessing in disguise being on top of a hill - saved us a lot of $$ with the limo who told us last minute they couldn't get up the hill to get me! The view took m ybreath away. Glen and Lara welcomed us with a well thought out gift basket. Condiments were stocked in the fridge as were toiletries which cut down on the cost of buying little things that add up quickly. The snorkeling equipment and underwater camera were a nice touch as well. The view from the lanai is one of the best views from a home I've ever seen. Wii Fit, Mario Galaxy 2, and Mario Kart Wii were played while waiting for others to get ready. The 3/2 set up was perfect for our party of 9 and could've easily taken on one or two more people. Don't overpack as there is a washer and dryer that we definitely made use of so it cut down on the amount of check in we had at the airport. It also helped me by not doing any laundry when I got home. My friends and family have all spoken very highly of this place and we hope to stay there again the next time we're in Hawaii...hopefully that's not too far from now! Glen and Lara also let us keep our luggage well beyond the check out time as we didn't fly back to California until 1030 that evening and visited North Shore that day. Very hospitable and friendly family.

We stayed here for a wedding in September 2013. The house was perfect for the family group of 8 that stayed here. The kitchen and a BBQ made it perfect to cook for ourselves, although there was also plenty of food options within a 5 - 10 minute drive. My only suggestion for anyone staying here is to get a hire car. Location is Great! The location is quiet, and away from the highway traffic but close enough to be able to hop on the highway and get anywhere on the island easily. Lara was able to help in any request and was very communicative. I highly recommend staying here if you are a large family or as multiple groups of couples!

The listing description does not do justice to this gorgeous home we rented for my family to stay at during the week of our wedding. Knowing that we would be busy with wedding things, and that my family would need a bit of help navigating the ways of the island, I am beyond thrilled we chose this property. Not only was it stocked to the brim with things to do, but the owners (Glen & Lara) are so kind, so helpful, and so full of aloha that they made my wedding experience that much more stress free. The property was so clean, warm and cheerful that it truly felt like home for everyone. I have stayed in many homes on the island, and highly recommend this property to groups and families.

Our family of four adults and two children stayed at this beautiful home this past week. The views from all the rooms are amazing! Lara has thought of everything at the house, from multiple hair dryers, washer, dryer, Nintendo Wii, to body board, sand toys, BBQ, and beach towels. The house was very comfortable and close to everything. We will definitely recommend this home to all friends visiting the island and will use again on our next trip back.

This spotless home leaves nothing to be desired, all aspects of this vacation were inhanced by our stay here. The owners sweet spirit and attentiveness were unbelivable, you won't get that at any hotel regardless of price. Every detail seems to be thought out by the owners, from rocking chair in bed room for moms with little one's to boogige boards for beach play.
