Better than advertised! My family and I had a great time. Kim gave clear, concise instructions and check in and check out were easy peasy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house was clean, spacious and decorated tastefully. The beach a short walk out the front door. The host, Kim, was quick to respond and very helpful in every way. When we asked, a day before our arrival, if there was a blender at the house, she replied that the previous occupants had broken it, but that she would have a new one sent asap. It arrived on our first morning in the house.

We have been to BHI many times with a big group of family, but my wife and I decided to just get away for 5 days to celebrate our anniversary.
There aren’t a lot of rental properties at BHI for just 2 people, but this house was perfect for the 2 of us (and we didn’t even use the 2 upstairs bedrooms). Everything was very clean and well maintained. Fast golf cart. We got lots of use out of the bikes, beach chairs, and Shibumi.
Kim was very responsive when we couldn’t figure out how to operate the dishwasher. We would happily stay here again!

This home was perfect! Super clean, amazing location, classically and beautifully decorated. We packed light for the ferry ride, but the home had everything we needed after a trip to the Maritime Market to get some groceries. This home is well cared for and I can tell well loved. Thank you for the great stay!

My husband and I, our two small kids and my dad all enjoyed our week staying at Sandcastle by the Sea. The house was spotless and provided the perfect place to relax and enjoy each others company. Our kids loves all of the toys and art supplies, not to mention zipping around on the golf cart. The location to the beach could not have been more ideal, just a few steps away on a fairly new walkway. We also appreciated the nicely appointed appliances, i.e. the coffee maker and washer/dryer…….both a must have with small kids 😀. We will definitely be coming back to Bald Head Island and hopefully Sandcastle by the Sea.

We just returned from a wonderful visit to BHI. This home is in a great location, well stocked with all the beach amenities, and overall comfortable and inviting. Our family of four felt right at home in this charming beach cottage. Kim was very responsive and helpful!

We rented this property over Thanksgiving to accommodate family overflow. It is a great location just steps from the beach. It is beautifully decorated and has a well stocked kitchen for cooking. The large porch was lovely.

We had a great time and really enjoyed the house during a long weekend for fall break - it was the perfect size for our family and very comfortable, and it's in a great location on the island. Everything we needed was there, and it's a very short, easy walk to the beach. All this winter, I'm going to remember sitting on the porch with coffee early in the morning, the only sound being waves lazily breaking on the shore just over the dunes - what a way to start the day!

The house was a great location and fit our family perfectly well. There was a great amount of kids gear for our infant and toys for our 4 year old too. The owner was very responsive and provided any info we requested. Highly recommend!

We had the best week at Sandcastle by the Sea. The kids were obsessed with beach toys, kites, and board games! The golf cart was the fastest on the island and bikes were like brand new. Such a lovely vacation with the beach just steps away!

What a great rental property! Everything was so clean, the kitchen was well appointed, the beds were comfortable, and the access to the beach was amazing! We really enjoyed walking on the beach every single night. The porch was relaxing and the golf cart was the fastest on the island. The garage was filled with bikes, shibumi shades, chairs and beach toys. Thank you Kim for such a great stay! Would rent here again.

This is a lovely beach cottage that fit our family of four perfectly. We enjoyed relaxing and a lot of beach time as a family. The Sandcastle was appointed with everything our family needed for the week and Kim was responsive and easy to communicate with if we needed anything. We greatly appreciated the golf cart, bikes, and boogey boards in the garage! We hope to return to the Sandcastle again and would recommend it for a smaller family who loves the beach!

The house was exactly as listed. Very clean and neat. It had everything we needed, grill, bicycles, beach chairs. We were on island for a wedding. Three other families stayed in Flora’s Bluff. It was great to be close together.

Sandcastle was wonderful - beautiful location close to the Market, BHI Club and a prsitine beach. A new, comfortable golf cart made getting around easy.

Location is an easy drive up to the market and the marina but also on the beautiful Shoals part of the island. Easy walk out to the beach.

Fantastic
Flora's Bluff was wonderful. This was our 6th trip to the island and of all the places we've stayed, I think this was my favorite. Top notch interior -- appliances, furnishings, everything. The private walk-out to the beach was perfect for kids who were able to roam a bit more freely as a result. The owner was responsive and caring. And the kids loved that we had the fastest golf cart on the island :)
Well done, Flora's Bluff. Looking forward to our next visit.

To be able to walk there was such a luxury. We loved hanging out on the porch so we either cooked or brought most of our meals back to the house to enjoy the peacefulness. There were so many butterflies, birds, and dragonflies to watch. Kim could not have been a more communicative and helpful host. She responded immediately to any question I had and gave me such thorough answers. She even intervened on our behalf to help us get a temporary membership at the BHI club when we were not getting a response. She truly went above and beyond to help us have a wonderful experience. We recommend Kim and her lovely home very highly!

This house is in a perfect location. It fit our family of 5 (2 adults, three kids) perfectly. We loved being steps from the beach and a short cart ride to stores, ice cream and BHI club.
