Hilton Garden Inn Austin North-Near the Domain, TX

Hilton Garden near the Domain is always a solid experience. It's a very well secured hotel with perfect late night service with items. It's convenient for any happenings or conference located at J.J. Pickle Research Center or other nearby hosting sites.

As was true during my stay in July, the water is just incredibly soft. I never quite feel like I'm clean, which is aggravating if you're used to harder water. I understand they soften the hard Austin water, but they likely need to remineralize somewhat on the other side.

The property was very clean, but a little confusing being that it was behind a clinic

I didn’t like that fact that I put free breakfast, and all the breakfast wasn’t free. And I specifically said free parking and that wasn’t free

It was nice and spacious room.

The hospitality was lacking. Breakfast wasn’t included, and there was no room service. When I ordered food, I had to go downstairs to pick it up instead of having it delivered to my room. The bathroom toiletries also needed to be refilled—I had to repeatedly pump the body wash just to get a small amount out. There were no complimentary essentials like toothpaste or cotton swabs available either. When I called to ask if some could be brought to my room, I was told I needed to come downstairs to get it. Thankfully, housekeeping eventually brought it up, but I’m pretty sure that only happened after I explained that I was getting ready to leave and was trying to get everything done at once.
