Really spacious nice decor had everything you could want and then more really nice little touches too like bottle of wine and sweets on arrival

The cleaners hadn’t done a very good job the kitchen sides and gods coffee table were pretty dirty we cleaned these ourselves other than that and some paint in the bath everything was brill

The apartment was beautifully prepared with a welcome bottle of wine and breakfast items. It was very well equipped and within easy walking distance of Durham City. We always worried slightly about whether there would be a parking place after a day out but there was every time! Communication with Lucia, our host, was excellent, she was always quick to reply to any email. The apartment was ideal for our "holiday" week in County Durham.

My only criticism is that in the description of the apartment it referred to "Terrace" and in my head I had pictured a private balcony or patio, In fact the apartment is on the second floor and the "terrace" is a paved and communal area at the back of the flats which did not look very appealing, and which we never used. I wonder if it is worth including ,as it is slightly misleading .

It is quite close to the centre of Durham, the older city centre is not far. The kitchen and flat generally are very well equipped and when my wife mentioned that she needed a hairdrier our hostess (is that the right word) drove around to us with one.

From the advert I thought the flat was in an older building close to the bridge. It is, in fact in a modern street of flats and houses opposite a grass area leading toward the river. I think this place would suit a couple of younger people who wish to enjoy the modern bars and cafes which are close by. Please also be aware that parking by the flat is not as simple as we believed. I received car park vouchers for our car and believed that it covered the small area opposite the flat. It doesn't and we got a £25 fine. The vouchers cover the street and nowhere else.

Host was very helpful and lots of little extras in property made our stay even better (range of complimentary toiletries, snacks and drinks)

Everything about the accommodation was perfect. The apartment was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and in an ideal location for the city centre, with the added benefit of a pleasant outlook to the front and rear of the property. The wine and breakfast snacks were a lovely and very welcome gesture - thanks! Will definitely return.
