Dr Kishori, the owner, had been especially nice to us. I loved the room right at the top of the building; the view was exceptional, the bed was great and the facilities adequate. Dinner was traditionally tasty.
The entrance to the property and especially the steep way back to the main road is difficult, especially with carrying luggage at a high altitude.

This warm, kind family made me feel welcome and at home immediately. They provided excellent meals, plenty of cups of tea and a range of local snacks, and also helped with some of the preparations for continuing up to the Spiti Valley. They even included me on a family outing to the pretty village of Kalpa and surroundings. The homestay is an easy 15 minute walk from the town centre, with breathtaking views from the balcony and roof.
Nothing, it was all good.
