The location is good as it allows quick access to the beach. The furniture is still in a decent shape over all despite one can tell they have been used for years now There were already few damages/stains/scratches here and there but nothing really serious. The front desk staff was quite courteous and very keen to assist you

They asked asked a copy of the booking reservation (!?, go figure why , first time ever it happened to me) The housekeeping is not actually doing a decent cleaning despite we cleared the apartment every day to allow them to do a good work. The towel and bed sheets have been changed as planned , however I do not think there is a need to reshuffle the bathroom towels to give the impression there has been some cleaning (we actually had a precise order there to know which towel belongs to who in the family) when, in fact, the floor stays dirty, the dust accumulates in the corners and the kitchen counter and table (cleared form everything on it ) stays dirty. We could not use the terrace because our apartment was below the street level and had in it a rain collector which probably was blocked and developed a lot mold with very very strong disgusting rotten smell. We could not sit or sunbath on the terrace because of that. We could not even keep the door of the terrace open as the smell would enter the apartment. I reported the issue after a few days at the front desk. The hotel stuff promptly poured some chemicals in the terrace drain collector to kill the mold. However they never come back and check that the bad smell was gone and the problem therefore was solved. The things got in fact worse as the smell of the mold did not go away whereas we had, on top, the smell of the chemical used. Situation stayed like this until we left. Hence we made no use of the external terrace which I would have enjoyed very much. Beware therefore that not all the apartments are the same. Depending on the orientation on the terrace you get many hours of sunshine or you are always in the shade. Depending on the position of the apartment when on the terrace you have a lot privacy or zero privacy. And finally if you terrace happen to have also a rain collector with a lot of grown mold inside it then you cannot use the terrace at all because of the disgusting strong smell .

Caybeach is located very near to the airport and on walking distance from the commercial area and the beach. The apartments are clean and comfortable.

The restaurant could be much better. Both breakfast and diner were moderate. Fresh juices were over date, or had poor taste. Other drinks were too sweet. The breakfast buffet was ok, but not so special.

Lady on reception was unfriendly, thought perhaps she wasn't a morning person but still no improvement in the afternoon!!! Complete opposite to greeting I received at my previous hotel accommodation in Corralejo a few days before. First impressions are important, it costs nothing to smile 😁
