Property was great and Hugo was a fantastic host. Lots to do and short walk to both dock and beach! Everything you need is right there but also short drive to other restaurants and beaches. Would definitely book again!

Although there for a short stay in Englewood/Manasota Key this time for work & not leisure, we chose the Lemon Shack to hang our hats for a few nights. We all found the house very comfortable, clean & modern. Pictures on VRBO are true representations of the property. Super Cute! We have stayed on the Key before and found another property not to be a fair representation of the home. Not to worry here! This house is fabulous! Close, quick walk to Lemon Bay and a short bike ride to the beach side. Beds were comfortable, appliances were modern, clean & fully operational. The only recommendation we would have is a small hook or pull on the pocket door of the bathroom as it was a little hard to open & we wished there was a gas grill. Other than these 2 little suggestions - it was a PERFECT home for our stay. You won't be disappointed in the landscaping & the beautiful mature trees & I am sure when it is a super sunny & hot day, the shade will be welcomed after a day at the beach! Sadly we had cooler weather. But it worked out for our purpose on this trip. As for the hosts - they are terrific - answered our questions before we even booked the property & were attentive & easy to communicate with from the beginning through the last day. We will without a doubt, be back to the Lemon Shack!! If this property comes up in your search for your available dates - don't hesitate - Just Book it !! YOU WILL LOVE IT !! This house and location are amazing! Hugo was very welcoming and had everything you could need. I loved the availability of the beach gear, bikes and kayaks! The beach and the bay are both steps away and so beautiful! Would definitely recommend and hope to come again! Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

We had a great time! Hugo was amazing as a host! There were sandwiches and snacks when we arrived because we didn’t get there until 3am. The beach was great! We kayaked, swam, collected shells and shark teeth! We had so much fun!

We loved our stay at the Lemon Shack! Our super busy fam needed a break where we had no obligations or schedule. This was perfect! The home was comfortable and adorably decorated. The beds are great! Our family loved fishing, kayaking and sifting for sharks teeth. The bikes are super helpful and the home had everything we needed. It was an amazing get-away!

Amazing!
Everything about the lemon shack was fantastic! My family of 6 stayed for five days and it had everything we needed from beach supplies to cooking utensils. Communication with the owner couldn’t of been better, even when my aunts car battery died when we were leaving he had someone there in 20 minutes with jumper cables. We will definitely be back.

The Lemon Shack was exactly as described! Plenty of space and VERY clean. It had everything we needed to feel at home -- not OUR home, but we wished it was ours. With Lemon Bay on one side and the Gulf on the other we were never bored. I called dibs on the adult 3-wheeler months in advance, and I think I need one at home now. I had never ridden a bike to the beach!! In addition, Hugo was an amazing host! He was always quick to respond.

We have rented a lot of very nice VRBO properties, but this was by far the best largely due to the excellent communication with Hugo the owner who made the stay feel so perfect and personalized. I was concerned about the walk to the beach with our 5 year old Granddaughter but it was actually easy and pleasant. And the provided bikes made it a breeze to carry our beach toys and towels (also provided!). This property was spotless inside and out and everything from the furniture to the linens to the kitchen supplies were high end. We ate out at all of Hugo's excellent restaurant suggestions (about a 5-10 minute drive) and had fun BBQing and cooking our own meals. The feel of the property is very beachy and tropical with beautiful lush vegetation and comfortable outdoor seating. We really appreciated the dual adjustable bed in the master and our Granddaughter loved the bunk room (also very comfortable beds). A couple of our favorite memories were taking the short walks to watch the sunrise from the dock and the sunsets from the beach. Magical! We are already planning our next trip back to the Lemon Shack. Thank you Hugo!

Perfect get away
The lemon shack was a perfect week away. The property is located in a quiet and extremely peaceful area. We spent a lot of time relaxing in the back yard and taking walks to the beach. The beach was wonderful if you like your own space, and very interesting exploring for sharks teeth. The home itself was very clean, with thoughtful supplies for your visit. While it's a small property it had everything we needed, including great wifi. Hugo was super available and really appreciated how he proactively contacted us before our arrival etc. Thank you for a wonderful visit.

Great Stay at the Lemon Shack
We had a great time at the Lemon Shack. The home was very clean and well organized and communication with Hugo was top notch! The area is very quiet which we loved. The beach access is a short, less and 1 minute, bike ride away with very few people around! Parking at the restaurants is hard to come by, but you can call Stumpy's taxi service to get place to place. Free rides with tips. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area!

Lemon Shack is Perfect!
The owners thought of everything! The house is so bright and welcoming. The owners provided everything to make our stay fun and relaxing: bikes, boats, recommendations and a very thoughtful welcome gift. The beds were comfortable, and everything was spotless. We had 2 teen girls, so the back room with pullout couch gave them plenty of separation and privacy from little brothers, who stayed in the bunk rooms. The clean outdoor shower can in handy when the teens were monopolizing the bathroom :) We loved biking to the beach and taking the Stumpy's shuttle to dinner! We are already planning for when we can return. Manasota Key is a fabulous spot.

Perfect place for family gathering
The outdoor patio had plenty of room to celebrate Grandpa's 95th birthday! The house is decorated very nice and beachy and was very clean. We enjoyed all the bikes and took rides each morning and it was an easy walk to either the beach or the bay. We enjoyed our stay very much!

We kayaked all over Lemon Bay chasing manatees with fish jumping all around us! We went down to Stump Pass and watched manatees, dolphins and sting rays all within 15 minutes of each other. We collected more shells and sharks teeth than we ever thought possible. It was awesome! The fire pit was a great feature. We never turned on the T.V. but opted to sit outside for meals and campfires. Couldn't have asked for a better stay!!! Thank you to the accommodating hosts who even let us add an extra night when our flight home got cancelled.

The Lemon Shack was truly fantastic. We felt at home before even stepping foot in the door. The homeowners truly go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. This is a nice quiet neighborhood for relaxing and only steps away from Lemon Bay and the Gulf. Literally everything is there that you need for the beach, fishing or shark tooth hunting. The house is cozy and decorated adorable. You can see palm trees outside of every window. If you need anything the homeowners are a phone call away. The neighborhood is a tiny enclave under palm trees offering a very real sense of solitude. It is perhaps telling that friends of ours who reside in a deep luxury resort along the Myakka River actually looked forward to our hosting them over for dinners at The Lemon Shack; and, “Clean, Quaint and Cozy” were the descriptors tossed around, about The Lemon Shack, during those relaxed evening meals. All in all, The Lemon Shack “made” our twentieth anniversary; and in a word I can sincerely say, “Recommended!”

The house was wonderful for our needs. We enjoyed all of the beach equipment, kayaks and well equipped kitchen. The master bed was very comfortable! Although the house is not located on the water, it was a very short walk to the beach. I would not hesitate to stay there again. The communication with the owner was exceptional as well.
