We enjoyed a fantastic week down in Brixham, made all the better by our stay at Shrimp Cottage. A beautifully presented and ideally located place to stop - would highly recommend! . Our host Shona was first class with everything, from pre visit comms, to ensuring we had settled in and then her follow up with us was exemplary.

The cottage itself is beautiful and exactly as described on the ad (if not better) and can only be described as perfectly situated for quick and easy access to all of what Brixham has to offer without being right in the busy harbour area. The inside is immaculate and invokes a relaxed atmosphere for a holiday and a place to unwind after a long day of sightseeing. We even opted for nights in rather than going out for food/drinks (which is not like us) as it felt like home. The amenities within the cottage are superb and has everything you could need and more. There were even some lovely little treats as a welcome by the owner which we found very charming. Shona was an amazing “landlady” and from start to finish went to great lengths to make our stay amazing. She was so pleasant to talk to and we could tell she genuinely wanted to do anything she could to make our holiday special, which she did. In our opinion she went way beyond expectation. Everything from giving us information about where to eat, what to do, where to go and how to get there and also checking in every now and then to see if we were ok, happy or needed anything else. Thank you so much Shona!! In summary I can’t speak highly enough about Shrimp Cottage and Shona. Really good value for money too given the location. We had a great time, we loved Brixham too but was made even better by Shona and Shrimp Cottage. We wouldn’t hesitate to rebook should our travels bring us back to Brixham one day. We were very sad to leave. Thanks again Shona for your part in making this a memorable holiday for us.

We found the stairs needed a hand rail on the top set, nothing to hold on too, and very steep. Very nice property but very dark inside.
