A very unique place! It is a guest house with several rooms. The architecture is highly original: the house is built entirely out of stone, including the interior walls, windowsills, and even the sink. Inside, there is a true atmosphere of Albanian history. Every room and all common areas are decorated like a museum, filled with a huge number of antique items, paintings, and authentic attributes of traditional Albanian life. At the same time, everything is very comfortable. In the morning, we made our own breakfast in the cozy common area, which added a special touch of home comfort. Location and logistics: The house is located on a hill in the apartment zone (this is not Old Dhërmi). The road around the house has no sidewalks, but it is totally fine for a walk. There are a couple of small shops and restaurants in nearby hotels. To get to the beach and the main promenade area (with restaurants, etc.), you have to go down the hill, but walking back up is quite tough. Because of this, we moved around by car (huge thanks to David, who drove us everywhere). To get to Old Dhërmi itself — which is a very picturesque stone village — you will also definitely need a car. About the host: The house is currently managed by Solomon's son, David. He is a truly magnificent person! His hospitality is simply priceless. We chatted a lot, and he helped us with absolutely everything: solved any issues, made amazing coffee for us, recommended the best spots, drove us to the beach in his car, and even gave us a tour of the old town. A man with a huge heart who makes this vacation unforgettable. A truly invaluable person!

It will be difficult without a car: walking anywhere is tough and it's hard to get around, so a car or David's help is essential. The stone interior: the fact that absolutely everything is made of stone looks incredibly authentic, but it might not always be convenient for everyone in daily use.

Unique place, a local gem with lot of touches and history.

Sehr schöne Unterlunft und die Gastgeber David und sein Bruder waren unglaublich. Super service, sehr hilfbereir bei allem und im grossen und ganzen einfach eine super Gastfreundschaft.

the facilities are beautiful and very unique! the host was very nice with giving suggestions on what places to visit so we can get the most out of our vacation. he also offered us breakfast once.

def. not worth the money. I booked through Booking because I want to maintain official communication channels. Before arriving however, I was contacted through Whatsapp via a call (not even a message) for a question I had regarding breakfast. upon arriving, we asked whether we could use the washing machine and were told that we were more than welcome to do so (for which we were super thankful of course as it wasn’t included in the price). however, we were then controlled and scrutinized upon, being told we can wash one cycle for 40 minutes as they have their own laundry to do. moreover, in booking, it’s stated we would be provided with a wardrobe. the wardrobe consisted of a mere cupboard (picture attached). though he tried to be nice, the false promises ruined the experience for me. the dichotomy in behavior made it almost awkward to enjoy the stay.
