B&B Stella in Centro

The price was really good, and it is located very close to the Salerno train station. The host didn’t speak English but she translated her messages on WhatsApp and provided us directions to the property. The room was nice and simple, with great views of Salerno and the mountains. They gave us the bigger room so we had a lot of space and a whole couch. A/C was good too. They offered free breakfast, which was in the kitchen area in the middle of the property. We can get food at any time in the morning, and it’s restocked. They also provided large bottles of still water that we can use to fill up our water bottles.

When we arrived at the address, we were slightly confused about which door to enter and how to get to the floor where the property is. Once we found the elevator (which was covered by a door) at the back of the hallway, we finally got the right floor and found the B&B. The screenshot of the building and the gate was helpful, but I would suggest telling guests to walk past the gate and enter the last door on the right. Then, walk to the stairwell in the back of the hallway, open the door, and take the elevator up to the correct floor. We figured it out, but it can help guests find the property quicker. The host showed us around the room and gave us 3 different keys for unlocking the building door, the property entrance, and our room door. I understand this is for safety, but there are a bunch of keys to keep track of. The room doors don’t have privacy knobs or thumb turnpieces, so you need to lock your door with a key. We had issues with unlocking the door sometimes, and that delayed us one morning. The host helped us out over WhatsApp and the problem was mostly our inexperience. Make sure to not lock the main door of the B&B facility because that is the master lock. Lastly, the shower was a bit cramped and I was banging my arms against the walls a couple times when turning, but it was manageable.

Extremely friendly and accommodating manageress. Nice, clean and comfortable room.

Cold only breakfast. I would put a fridge in the b/fast area to keep water and juice cold

Carla is a very welcoming host with excellent communication! Location was great - very close to station and nearby to city centre. Property was clean, bed was comfy and excellent value for money. Would highly recommend!
