The Royal Hotel

The hotel was very well positioned near the beach (we were taking part in the half marathon so wanted to be within staggering distance of the finish!) The lounge area was cosy and comfortable and it was lovely to sit in the garden in the sun. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and we were grateful to the lovely receptionist who recommended an excellent Indian restaurant (the Curry Garden).

The fire door on room 101 had too big a gap at the top and the door closer was not properly connected (only a small tweak - we only noticed as that is hubby's job!)

An excellent hotel situated close to town centre shops and theatres. Very friendly staff who went out of their way to be helpful. Very good bars and dining room. Great breakfast with a good menu choice. Beautiful room with sea views.

There was nothing to dislike about this hotel and we will be booking again soon.

Family live in Weston and we use this hotel at least annually. It is in such a good location and staff are great.

No warning about the bands in the hotel all afternoon although that didn't bother us as the weather was so beautiful we were out and about.

Excellent location, close to the uni, the beach and local restaurants with a car park right outside. Breakfast choice was limited but everything they did have was very nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely atmosphere. Sturdy bunk beds for my children in the family room.

We had a family room at the front of the hotel which we booked months in advance. The room was basic, tired and not as nice as other rooms we have stayed in at this hotel sadly. No toiletries provided as advertised, not even a glass in the bathroom to pop my toothbrush in. We felt that we were given a rubbish room as we had children & labeled 'likely to cause a mess'! The absolute worst part was the constant noise from the pub and karaoke bar just outside which made sleeping very difficult. The shower would also not maintain a constant temperature, scalding one second and freezing the next. I have stayed here multiple times but sadly this was the worst.
