The location was perfect for exploring the island, with the nearest beach just a 7-minute drive away. At the same time, the house is tucked away in a wonderfully quiet and peaceful part of the village, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. Our host, Hara, was absolutely lovely. We received the warmest welcome, and she was incredibly attentive and helpful throughout our stay, always available to answer any questions and making sure we had everything we needed. Malona itself is a picturesque little village, and the location of the house could hardly be more convenient. There is a small shop literally two steps from the house, with everything you could need, including fresh produce and locally made olive oil. There is also a lovely restaurant just a 2-minute walk away, serving delicious food. We particularly loved the terrace at the front of the house, as well as the roof terrace. The views from the roof are beautiful — you can see across the whole village and even catch a partial view of the sea. There is also parking directly in front of the house, which was incredibly convenient. The house itself is magnificent. It is a beautifully renovated, traditional Greek home, full of character and charm. What makes it truly special are the gorgeous period features and the many original objects, some more than 100 years old, thoughtfully displayed throughout the house. They give you a wonderful sense of the history of the property and make staying there feel like a truly authentic experience. Hara has thought of absolutely every detail. The house has everything you could possibly need for a beach holiday and much more. You can really feel how much care and attention she has put into creating such a welcoming and comfortable place.
