First off, kudos to the owner who helped us out greatly when we needed to extend our stay 4 days. Condo was well appointed with a great view. We stayed about a month and it was a lot of fun getting to know the area and the locals.

We’ve gone to SML many times but this place with the whole Bernard’s landing atmosphere was amazing. We loved everything. The convenience of having the lake, pool, and boat dock right there was priceless. We would definitely stay here again.
Our host was great at emailing me back quickly after my numerous questions. We were there for a wedding (ours) and it was extremely stressful. The one thing that was smooth and easy was everything about renting this place. I never had such an easy experience renting a vacation spot.
We are extremely pleased with the house, the view, and the location. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful family vacation! Alex was great to work with. Alex was very detailed when we asked questions, and always available when we had questions. Great location with pool right below condo, dock, Napoli restaurant, Bernie’s store all so close. The condo had all the comforts of home. Please be aware this is the top floor, so has several sets of steps to get to. This was no problem for our family, but could be for older couples and families. Thank you for sharing your home with us! A good time was had by all! Can’t wait to return!

The condo was exactly as described. We enjoyed easy access to the pool, lake, and club house. The only item that was a little unclear was regarding trash removal. It was definitely further than expected especially while carrying trash. Otherwise, the trip was amazing and I am looking forward to returning.

Great location, great hosts!
We stayed for a long weekend over Memorial Day and this was our first time visiting SML. The amenities were perfect for our needs, condo extra cozy and homey, and view was gorgeous. Our son especially enjoyed watching the boats from the vast windows overlooking the lake. The location was a nice balance of convenience and privacy, and having the pool just downstairs a major perk.

The small knit community and neighbors here are so kind and love visitors. Any recommendation for activities/restaurants/etc was provided by Alex. His has been so good at communication and willing to accommodate our any need. Alex and his home has made our experience here in Smith Mountain Lake way better than we even imagined!

Simply Perfect
Our family enjoyed visiting this SML property. Everything was simply perfect! We especially loved the view, having a bathroom for every bedroom and the guest friendly accommodations. I don't think there was anything at all that we wished we had.

This was a perfect place at smith mountain lake for our 3 year-old, my husband and I. Alex was a great host allowing us to check in a little early since it was available. We could walk to several spots to access the lake and we made use of the clubhouse pool and gym. Our son enjoyed playing with the toys and games in the kids rooms and the kitchen was well stocked with what we needed to cook meals. Beautiful view from the deck and also star gazing at night was spectacular!

Very comfortable, thoughtfully administered, A+ experience. We visited in October and enjoyed every aspect of the resort. We went boating, swam in the indoor pool, used the rec center, and played at the beach. We will be back for sure, as it was a great time away for our family. Thanks again, Alex & crew!

Best Mini Vacation
We stayed for a long weekend in this condo and it was the best mini vacation. We loved the condo. It was beautiful, spacious and well stocked. We would love to stay here again sometime. The location to the pool and dock was perfect. We enjoyed swimming, boating, tubing, and fishing. We also loved sitting on the balcony every morning with our coffee watching the sunrise. We will definitely repeat this vacation!

This was my second time at Bernard's Landing and this was amazing! The space was clean, orderly, and gave everyone room to spread out. We LOVED the loft and the deck! The host was quick to communicate and help with anything we needed. We will be booking here again!

Lovely condo, just perfect for a family of 4, overlooking the lake and small pool. Very clean and comfortable. It was a nice surprise to find board games and activities for kids stashed in the closet, and the loft bedroom with skylight was nice.

We especially enjoyed the little beach with our grandchildren and the convenience of picking up the rental boat and accessories right in front of the condo.
