Great large bedroom and a very good breakfast. The location was good adjacent to the Barn Theatre where we saw a play and an easy walk into the Cirencester centre.

The closeness of the hotel near the city centre. The breakfast was also very nice.

For me the location was ideal as there was a nearby bus stop into the town centre although I chose to walk. The room was elegant and comfortable and overlooked a stream, The bathroom was bigger than in most modern hotels and the large walk in shower was easy to use, a great help for an older person.

The breakfast was disappointing. The menu had a selection of cooked and continental breakfast dishes but no cereals, fruit or juice was on offer. Coffee came in a cup not a pot as is usual in most hotels.

Good location, lovely old building with good size rooms. Little touches like milk and filtered water available was a relief to have. However- stock more coffee in the rooms! Breakfast choices were nice (lattes were gorgeous).

It was not to the standard I’d expect for the price. It seemed dated - the decor, bedding, furniture hadn’t been changed or updated in a long time - needs a good refresh (the interior design was not good at all - but that’s my opinion). Rooms need a proper clean- there was dust in a lot of areas; radiators so couldn’t put towels on them, the air con unit and the windows had a lot of cobwebs. The air con unit also kept glitching because it’s old and not very good which was alarming when you couldn’t open any windows for air, this made for a very uncomfortable night sleep. Providing robes and slippers I’d also have expected especially when paying more for the super king room. If I had paid less I wouldn’t have been as disappointing but I did expect more basics for the price.
