Beautiful setting . Lovely staff and super rooms. Good base for walking and cycling.Breakfast excellent . Ate out at pubs after cycling but will do sooner next time.

The breakfast was v nice. Comfortable bed. The hotel and its site are pretty. The staff were excellent.
The area, apart from Chatsworth House, seems to be not so interesting, or have as much to offer, as other parts of the Peak District.

The breakfast was excellent - really good choice and served at the table by very efficient and friendly staff.
Our room was very comfortable and well-equipped. The building is really lovely and the grounds so beautiful on a sunny day.
Staff were all very helpful.
We were disappointed that the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays but staff were very helpful in recommending alternatives, including booking a table for us at the pub run by the same owners, where we had an excellent meal

Tv did not work kept buffering then turning blank screen- staff knew about this, which infuriated us
