We loved the view from the room, and the location of the hotel. The first reception staff that we spoke to was amazing, he was really friendly, had great rapport, and offered brilliant tips for places to eat and visit.

Service from staff wasn’t consistent. It would have been useful to be informed that the credit was taken off on the final bill, we’d have preferred to have paid at meals and have the daily credit deducted at that point. There was no kettle or tea/coffee in the room.

+ Great location — everything was easily accessible and there were plenty of places within walking distance. + Very friendly and helpful staff. + Very good price for the stay at the time, especially compared to other hotels in the area. + Nice and comfortable room with a great view. + Comfortable and well-designed bathroom.

- I didn’t really understand the $10 fee and how or where it could be used. For me, it felt like extra money that I wasn’t really able to use and therefore simply went to waste. - The lobby and restaurant area downstairs were quite noisy and chaotic throughout the stay. - The room was missing some basic amenities, such as a kettle. - I couldn’t find the safe during my entire stay. I only found out later that it was hidden underneath the bed, which is not very convenient or intuitive. - The package delivery fee is quite high — $20 per package, plus an additional daily storage fee. A hotel next door offered the same service free of charge for packages arriving up to 7 days before check-in, so this felt unnecessarily expensive.

I had requested a high-floor room, but when we arrived, we were given a room on the 23rd floor and were told that the hotel’s policy is first come, first served. It would have been better to know this in advance, rather than sending two messages and receiving “we will do our best” as a response. If I had been told that the policy was first come, first served, that would have been much better.
