The house was well equipped, stunning scenery of the mountains and the games room/bar was excellent for staying in on days when we had heavy thunderstorms. The large windows let lots of light into the main open plan kitchen/dining/living room and yet were dark/cool with the window blinds down. The air conditioning unit was perfectly placed to keep the whole house cool.

I believe we were the first English family to visit and as the owner did not speak any English, So I wish I had practiced my French a bit more first. There were a few bits missing from the house (toilet roll and towel holders, baking trays, etc), however the overall materials used and finish were excellent. Note to less able guests - there are two long flights of stairs down from the entrance to the 3 bed gite and 3 flights of stairs down to the 1 bed gite, garden and shared washing machine. No problem for us younger, more able people though. August was a very quiet time to visit with many bars and restaurants being closed and others opening for only limited hours. The Chinese in Le Cheylard was excellent though.
