The Sunningdale

I travelled from N.I to take part in the Macmillan mighty hike. I arrived later than expected to the hotel due to a flight delay. I asked about the nearest place for bottles of water and food (I naively didnt realise how remote Bamburgh was) to which I was informed all nearby catering was closed and nearest shop was approx 2-3 mile away but when finished telling me this she said she would get me some water for me to take. I asked about location of key drop in morning as I was setting off early and when letting me know where to secure my key drop she suggested that I grab fruit to take with me for the morning as I'd be gone before breakfast time. The lady didnt have to go to that trouble, but she did and I was greatly appreciative of it.

Great position beautifully clean great decor fabulous breakfast

Reception area in a bad position and an awful lot of stairs to climb.

Really good location

Nothing

Good location, decent breakfast which included a cold food buffet which was nice

We paid over £700 for two rooms for two nights, which I think is really poor value for money. The rooms are small, our bedroom has scratches on the wall, missing parts to door handle etc. the other bedroom was tiny. For that price I was expecting a nice luxurious experience. There also isn't a lounge or somewhere nice to relax in the evening, there is only the breakfast restaurant.
