Casa Obe

We had such a wonderful stay at casa Obe - we wished we could have stayed longer! The staff and owner were very friendly and welcoming. We were fed delicious meals - especially the coconut camarones. The house and rooms are beautifully built and decorated. The bed was very comfy, with AC and a fan. We probably had our best nights sleep here! We had an incredible view of the sea and the magnificent waves as we opened the curtains/door. We walked along the beach and enjoyed a beautiful sunset without anyone else around. (It would be amazing to come during whale season). And the stars at night were out in their millions. We lounged around the cooling pool all day, watching different birds come and drink from it. We didn't have time for the games room but it would be so fun to visit with family or a group of friends to make the most of all the facilities. We would definitely visit this beautiful place again!

Nothing - we loved it all! A note on getting there... We arrived on moped along the main road which was under construction, so it was quite dusty. A car/taxi would be more comfortable. However the roads are likely to be finished soon so won't be a problem for long. Also, the journey was sooooo worth it and it was great to feel very off the beaten track :)

The view was great. Everywhere you look it's beautiful. The pool is great, as is the game room. There are plenty of places in the property to just relax and enjoy. The staff is really nice.

The shower has almost no water pressure, but is just a small inconvenience.

This review is for Americans and what to expect. If you’re looking for an absolute remote beach, where you may be the only person for as far as you can see, this is the place. Turtle nest every morning, whales on the horizon, it’s spectacular. But it’s very remote. The restaurant onsite has very traditional, country meals (and ice cold beer) which were delicious. It’s not a resort, it’s more like staying at a family beach house. The owners treat you like a family friend and the staff is wonderful. Just know that if this is the experience you are looking for, Casa Obe can’t be beat!
