Ideally situated close to the beach, shops and transport services (for exploring the island). Beautifully clean and comfortable with everything one would wish for to self cater. Small tap issue which was fixed immediately I contacted the owner (hence putting this in the +s). Genuinely one of the best of it's type (self catering flat) that I have stayed in.

I liked that the street was very quiet, and its proximity to the seaside, the canoe lake with the birds, Appley Tower. It wasn't a huge distance from the hoverport, train/bus station or the shops either. I like the old-fashioned character to the interior of the house, and the kitchen was well kitted out. Everything was spotlessly clean throughout. It was very easy to find.

The telly was rather small for the size of the room, especially as my Dad requires subtitles. The EE internet service went down about 20x during my stay, which wasn't terrible, but hardly wonderful. The bed was squeaky. The 1800s decor was a little gloomy, and I'm not wild about paintings of fish heads and shipwrecks. The 15 stairs were very steep. The flat number was on a tiny plate near the drainpipe covered with leaves (fortunately, the neighbours had clear numbers displayed).

Location is great for Ryde town centre, the beach and the Travel Interchange. Very quiet street with a handy corner shop. Apartment was very clean and tidy with a fully equipped kitchen. Bathroom was good with a spacious shower. Very good instructions on accessing keys

Although not the fault of the flat owner, the property next door was constantly giving out a lot of smoke from a chimney. This meant it was not possible to open any windows as smoke entered the property. The bed was very uncomfortable. The decor was rather dark - brighter colours would have been much more welcoming and made the rooms look bigger perhaps. I know the staircase was steep from the description and is definitely not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. There were also steps into the bathroom and utility area.

Location for town centre.

Dark rooms, draughty windows, no heating. Lack of parking near accommodation even though residents parking is available.
