Lovely local overnight place to stay, lots of great tips and conversation with the host, we felt well cared for, and there was a bonus kitty on the property that we got to pet

We had a truly wonderful one night stay at House Mara after visiting Plitvice. Bojona is a fantastic, welcoming and helpful host and was ready to meet us as soon as we arrived. She also gave us some helpful tips on where to cross into Bosnia & Herzegovina the next morning and even helped with our pronunciation for key cities and places :)
The room was very comfortable, impeccably clean, had WiFi and super close to both the park and some nearby restaurants.
Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The position is perfect to visit the Plitivice natural parl in te nearby, the location is quiet and nice. The host was very friendly and give us a lot of suggestions about how to manage the visit, starting from where we should have parked, the path and the hours when you can find less people in the park. She was very gentle and nice, I am really happy with everything!
