Everything was ready for us to walk in and enjoy. The fire was set, there was milk in the fridge. Lovely warm beds. Very well appointed kitchen.

everything was clean. it was a really charming old cottage. great shower. electric blankets on the beds was a great touch. kitchen was well stocked in terms of utensils and general equipment. wifi being available was really helpful.

it was very very cold. the wood burning stove looked beautiful but it didn’t heat the house. the heat only reached about a foot away from the stove. the split system helped but the heat didn’t reach the dining room or the bedrooms at the back of the house. electric blankets on the beds were a really great touch though.

Loved the homely feeling of the cottage. Even though it rained on our trip, I loved knitting by the cosy wood fire listening to the rain on the roof while watching DVDs Well recommended

Loved the history of the cottage and how quiet the location is. The stone wall, the trees and the numerous places you could sit outside. Definitely will be back and I loved Burra, the people and their gorgeous gardens.

Booking.com didn't send me the check-in info including the door code which wasn't very helpful however I was able to contact the owners who gave me the code straight away, so thanks to them, no thanks to booking.com

Cute little cottage with plenty of history. We stayed over Easter and our hosts left us Easter buns and Easter eggs. Nice little surprise.

No washing machine which would make extended stays a little difficult.
