The house is immaculately presented and in a great location. Very yummy and extensive breakfasts.

We hired the property's kayak for a day but it proved not to be seaworthy. We were not charged, but the experience was quite distressing and the owner seemed more concerned about her boat than us (admittedly the language barrier was an issue so she may not have fully understood what happened). She is a sweet person, but we were always quite conscious that we were staying as guests in her house (where she also lives full-time) so we never quite relaxed fully.

The property was in a perfect location. Just off the main town( 2 minute walk) so not too noisy. It’s also beachfront with a view. The place was so clean and cozy. and the hosts were so wonderful to talk to. Carlos was a wealth of information and can help with any questions. So easy to talk to. Esmeralda was so wonderful and was like a grandmother to us. She went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The breakfast was included and was just fantastic. Fresh fruit and juice, breads and jam. Fresh coffee. The stay here really made our stay on Ilha Grande much more enjoyable.

La ubicación es excelente, a 5 minutos caminando del centro y lejos del ruido, frente al mar. La isla es completamente segura. La casa es muy bonita y cómoda. La limpieza impecable. El desayuno preparado con dedicación y amor por Esmeralda y servido con vista al mar es imperdible. Por la tarde a veces te ofrece un café de cortesía. Carlos te brida toda la información necesaria y útil y siempre está bien dispuesto para colaborar en lo que necesites. La casa solo tiene 2 habitaciones por lo que la atención es muy personalizada. Info útil: al llegar al muelle hay carreteros que por 50 reales llevan el e. quipaje. A pesar de que la casa está sobre la playa es conveniente caminar por la calle paralela para no mojarse (hay que hacer una U) Una parte del camino tiene empedrado, otra es arena y si llueve se enloda. El cartel es pequeño en la entrada, está a la derecha de Rubi Bistró y la puerta de acceso está perpendicular a la playa. La zona es MUY HUMEDA, conviene llevar ropa extra Cuenta con ducha eléctrica por lo que en 1 sale tibia y en 2 demasiado caliente La playa que esta en el frente de la posada no es de las mejores porque están todos los barcos parados, es conveniente irse a otras playas (algunas caminando y otras en barco)

The hosts (Esmeralda and Carlos) are truly amazing, warm, and kind-hearted people who do their best to help with everything. The beachfront location is absolutely beautiful and perfect. The room is nice and very clean. Also, the breakfast was incredible—honestly the best one we had during our entire trip!

It is very important for future travelers to know that the listing description lacks transparent information. This is not a commercial pousada or an independent apartment, but a private room inside the host's active personal home. This information needs to be emphasized in the description! We were shocked to discover this. There is no privacy in the living room or common areas. The price is high for a homestay concept, and when the weather is rainy and you are forced to stay inside, the lack of privacy for a couple becomes very uncomfortable.
