Cleanliness

The house is spacious, has a beautiful view, and a fairly large yard. We stayed on the ground floor, and the property itself has a lot of potential

Unfortunately, the biggest downside, and something that really needs to be mentioned, is the lack of cleanliness and maintenance. It did not seem like the house had been properly cleaned before our arrival. We found food products left behind by previous guests in the freezer, while the refrigerator was very dirty and had a very strong fish smell. We had to remove and wash every shelf ourselves before we could store the food we had bought. There were also a lot of spiders, insects and cobwebs throughout the house. The shower in the bathroom did not close properly, so a large amount of water would leak every time we used it. Under every piece of furniture, including the sofa and armchairs, there was a significant amount of dust and insects. We travelled with our dog, and whenever she went under the sofa to get her ball, she would come out with dust or with an insect. We also wanted to use the washing machine, but before starting it, we had to thoroughly clean the drum with detergent and run a cleaning cycle because it was visibly dirty. The outdoor furniture was also quite uncomfortable. The table was constantly moving and wobbling, which made it difficult to sit and eat comfortably. The yard itself also needs more maintenance, especially the overgrown weeds. We also found rubbish in the yard, including a razor blade and an empty barbecue meat package. Overall, the house has a lot of potential thanks to its size, location, view and outdoor space, but it really needs much better cleaning and regular maintenance. Unfortunately, our impression was that the cleaning consisted mainly of changing the bed linen, rather than properly cleaning and preparing the property for new guests. With more attention to cleanliness, the garden and general upkeep, this could be a much more enjoyable place to stay.
