The Shipyard - Angra

The staff of great, they always make you feel welcomed. The hotel is also in a pretty good location and the fact that it has a garage is great.

It’s not their fault, obviously, but there are a LOT of noisy motorcycles speeding through the street. And they can wake you up at night.

Wow, what a great place. The rooms are huge, modern, and comfortable. Location is great- easy to walk to the marina, city center, restaurants, and supermarkets.

N/A

Great location, with easy access to the Marina and City Center. The building is new and nicely decorated and with in site parking which is definitely a plus.

The bathroom even though clean, had a bad sewer smell. Nothing overwhelming and befitted to the boat theme, but that could be easily fixed with cleaning products specifically for the drains or even adding some scents.

On the positive side, the apartment itself was spacious and offered plenty of room. The bed was comfortable, and the underground parking garage made parking very easy and convenient. Overall, the accommodation has some good features, but the misleading information regarding air conditioning and the poor breakfast experience significantly affected our stay.

The biggest disappointment was that the apartment does not have a functioning air-conditioning system, despite this being mentioned in the description. The installed system is not capable of cooling the apartment at all. Previous reviews have already pointed this out, and unfortunately the issue still has not been resolved. During our stay the temperatures were moderate, but in the summer I would definitely not choose this accommodation. Another major negative point was the breakfast service. Items that had run out were often not replenished, leaving guests with a very limited selection. In addition, the breakfast staff made us feel quite uncomfortable. They were often unfriendly, dismissive, and unwelcoming. We travel frequently and have not experienced such an unpleasant atmosphere at breakfast for a long time.
